About this ebook

Pages 266. Quantum physics proposes, on a scientific basis, the concept of a universe in which each particle is connected with all the others through a bond that surpasses every law of classical physics. In this context, all things converge in a great project of cosmic evolution, the "Unus mundus". Today many well-known scientists subscribe to the "anthropic theory", according to which the universe was not born by chance, but was created exactly with the characteristics it possesses to host intelligent life. The latest scientific discoveries deny materialism and impose a more spiritual vision of the universe in which we live.
The synchronicity theory was developed with rigorous methodologies by the famous psychologist Carl Jung. During a long collaboration Jung obtained the support and encouragement of a valuable fellow student, the physicist Wolfgang Pauli who was a Nobel Prize in 1945.
Synchronicity represents a very valid starting point for investigating the profound reasons for some events that normally appear random. In fact, synchronicities are manifested in the life of each of us through strange coincidences, dreams, intuitions and presentiments, to confirm that nothing comes from chance.
The synchronicities described by Jung are chains of apparently random episodes, which nevertheless contain a "numinous" message. Although the theory of synchronicity is credited to the field of metaphysics, the most current discoveries of quantum physics have demonstrated its scientific plausibility.
Each event, like the series of epidemics that dot the last few decades, leaves the context of randomness and takes on a well-defined meaning in the history of the human species. Probably the theory of synchronicity is the most suitable to answer this question: does the coronavirus represent an event due to chance, or does it contain a significance that needs to be revealed? In the final part this book deals with the numerous cases of epidemics that have developed in recent years (Sars, Mers, Hiv, Ebola, Covid-19 etc.) and places them in the context of a global synchronicity that is guiding humanity towards highest level of complexity and awareness.

    Preface

The Covid-19 coronavirus is a pandemic that is upsetting the social and economic organization around the world. Faced with this, many wonder if this tragedy is just a result of chance, or if it is the inevitable conclusion of a path and if it could have been avoided. The obvious causes most considered are essentially two: the virus was born from animals sold in a market in the Chinese city of Wuhan, or the virus was developed in a biological research laboratory in the same city of Wuhan.

The root causes of everything are less considered, but they have generated an equally engaging debate. A thesis taken into consideration is that at the origin of the pandemic there would be an economic plot. The United States is said to have spread the virus to China to contain the emerging economic power of this nation. Conversely, China is said to have spread the virus on the planet to condition the opposing economies.

According to the most extremist Catholic wing present in the USA and in the Vatican itself, the virus would be a punishment from God aimed at punishing Pope Francis' innovative openings.

Then there are ecologist and animal activists who see the virus as the nemesis of a nature raped in its defenseless creatures, bats, civets and snakes which are massacred for food reasons. There are also new-age-inspired hypotheses about the rebalancing power of Gaea, our Mother Earth.

This book offers a less nebulous approach, based on personality studies of solid scientific stature.

The theory of synchronicity, developed with rigorous methodologies by the famous psychologist Carl Jung and encouraged by his supporter and fellow student Wolfgang Pauli, Nobel Prize in Physics 1945, represents a very valid starting point for investigating the root causes of events that normally appear random . Probably the theory of synchronicity is the most suitable to answer this question: does the coronavirus represent an event born by chance and destined to end in an equally random way, or does it contain significance that needs to be revealed?

The synchronicities described by Jung are apparently random chains of episodes, which nevertheless contain a numinous message. Although the synchronicity theory is credited to the field of metaphysics, the most current revelations of quantum physics have demonstrated its scientific plausibility.

This book examines the possibility of inserting the numerous cases of epidemics that have developed in recent years (Sars, Mers, Hiv, Ebola, Covid-19 etc.) in the context of a global synchronicity that is guiding humanity to the highest level of complexity and consciousness, the Omega Point predicted by the French Jesuit scientist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

    1.  A puzzle made of chronologies

"The knowledge that you seek for the sole purpose of enriching your wisdom or accumulating treasures makes you deviate from your path.

The knowledge that you seek in order to grow on the path of human ennobling takes you one step further. "

(Rudolf Steiner, Austrian esotericist and theosophist)

The greatest difficulty I encountered in writing this book was to give a consequential order to the topics presented. The conclusion to which the book tends is not intuitive, and clashes with all current opinions on the meaning of life and the destiny of man. The logical fabric of the book is similar to a large puzzle. Every single topic exposed represents a piece that cannot be deciphered in its specific meaning, if it is not placed in the right place in the general plan.

Each piece, in itself, is incomprehensible. For this reason, the puzzles represent, on the lid of the box, the overall design that will be obtained at the end of the game. The purpose of this book is to demonstrate that nothing happens by accident. Contrary to what the materialists say, that the universe is governed by randomness, a universal intelligence operates in the universe. This intelligence is guiding humanity towards the maximum evolutionary level of complexity and consciousness.

Just as each piece of a puzzle is oriented to build the final picture, in the same way each topic exposed in the book is oriented to demonstrate the path of human evolution towards this goal. The reader will forgive me if the overall design appears confused at first. It is not possible to understand the meaning of each single piece, except in the perspective that only from a certain point onwards the overall project will begin to be clear.

The book is inspired by the recent coronavirus pandemic. This tragedy has opened up a great debate. In fact, the enormous hardships, the victims, the economic instability that the coronavirus is bringing with it place the topic at the first place in all places and in all forms of social communication.

Many look to the future wondering what the health and economic consequences will be. Many others wonder what were the causes that led to the outbreak. The book aims to answer both questions, looking for the most remote causes and foreseeing the most distant consequences.

To rationalize the exhibition, I have prepared some chronologies that I briefly present in this opening chapter. I leave to the following chapters a more detailed exposition. Each timeline is an element of the puzzle that must be inserted in the next timeline. The latest chronology includes them all, connects them and gives a logical sense to each.

A chronology, in the most general sense, is a system by which events are organized and classified according to their succession over time. Someone, observing the chronologies that I expose in the following, could observe that they are very biased, that is they are constructed using only some specific arguments, chosen to guide the reasoning towards an arbitrary conclusion.

I challenge anyone to demonstrate the existence of any timeline immune from an aspect of arbitrariness. Any chronology is constructed using only a few facts chosen from all those that represent the overall history of the topic. Inevitably, each chronology is aimed at supporting and confirming the thesis of the author who composed it.

The task of a chronology consists in listing a series of events represented over the time in which they took place.

The dominant culture in the current historical period is based on materialism, and states that everything happens according to chance. Consequently, in accordance with the laws of statistics and large numbers, all events relating to a topic should be spread in a substantially homogeneous manner over the total time. It will be surprising to see that, on the other hand, some facts group together in particular periods and absolutely disdain others.

The most striking example is that of the evolution of species. According to Darwin's theory, all mutations of the species should occur gradually while producing the adaptation of living organisms to the most advantageous conditions of existence. From this also derives the possibility that one species may transform into another. It would be logical that, due to the statistical distribution of an immense number of mutations, which occurred over billions of years, these mutations represented a homogeneous and constant flow. In 1977 two well-known scientists, Stephen Jay Gould and Niles Eldredge, referring to the studies and field experience developed especially by paleontologists and paleoanthropologists, developed the theory of dotted balances. According to this theory, the evolution of the species occurs through sudden and rapid periods of mutation alternating with long periods of stasis.

Since this book was born on the emotion of the current coronavirus pandemic, a chronology will cover all previous viral infections. We know that the current epidemic arises from the transmission of the virus from a wild animal, probably a bat, to humans. Also in this case, if we prepare a chronology of the main human viral infections due to contact with animals, we can verify that they all condense, more or less, in the last hundred years. The last few decades have been marked by a crescendo of epidemics of which we do not have equally evident and consistent traces in all the previous history of humanity.

Therefore, we consider this explosion of epidemic episodes related to contact with animals as a significant event at this particular moment in human history. If epidemics were random, they would not be significant. But these epidemics are not accidental, otherwise they would be distributed throughout the history of humanity. Thanks to this significance, the epidemic episodes of the last decades, including Covid-19, are a piece that we keep aside to insert it in the overall design that we are building.

Another chronology full of surprising aspects is that relating to the development of civilization. Usually the ages of man are divided into stone, copper, bronze, iron and so on up to the present age.

This chronology is immediately characterized by the tendency to improve the level of civilization. Although with the ups and downs mostly dependent on wars and catastrophes, the general trend is that of a progressive rise in the cultural level of the human species. This contrasts with the concept of evolution due to chance, so dear to materialists, mainly in two respects.

The first aspect is the most evident. If the evolution were due to chance there would have been millions of possibilities of a negative involution compared to the only possibility of positive evolution, which has transformed us from brutes into sapiens. A random cultural evolution would certainly have been chaotic and disordered, and could never have expressed the linearity that led the human species to be what it is today. Furthermore, for better or for worse, evolution would unfold homogeneously throughout the entire existence of man.

In fact, the human species, considering the first hominids, has existed for at least two million years. It is extraordinary to consider that man lived in the so-called stone age for almost the whole of his history, until the end of the Neolithic period, about five thousand years ago. From that moment on, the era of metals began. If we take the date of 2,000,000 years as the beginning of the human adventure, after having lived for 1,995,000 years working the stone, suddenly, in just 5000 years, man has made a cultural leap so spectacular as to allow him you build spaceships capable of transporting it to the Moon or Mars.

Obviously something unexpected has happened in the past five thousand years. This part of the history of humanity must be considered as the beginning of an event that we could call miraculous. This is the period we will focus on.

It is extremely difficult to explain this evolutionary miracle with anthropological, physical, biological, or otherwise scientific subjects. We will give a metaphysical explanation. Metaphysics wants to explain the world by looking at it beyond the pure materiality made of things that can be seen and touched, and investigates nature in all possible aspects, many of which are made of things that can neither be seen nor touched but exist.

A distinction must be made. Let's take the example of gravity. The force of gravity cannot be seen or touched, but exists and acts powerfully in the world. Nobody suspected its existence until an apple fell on Newton's head. However, gravity does not belong to the field of metaphysics, but to physics. Although gravity cannot be seen or touched, it has been defined completely and is one of the four fundamental forces that regulate the physical functioning of the world made of matter. Gravity works exactly as we expect it to function, and will continue to do so as long as the universe we live in continues to be done as it is.

Metaphysics includes aspects of nature that we can only guess. There are no metaphysical laws: if they existed, they would be physical laws.

Metaphysics can investigate behaviors of nature that are not related to matter. Someone continues to believe that matter, as we know it, is the only reality existing in the universe. Matter is not the only one, not even on the strictly physical plane. Scientists call baryonic matter the matter we see and touch, like our own hands or like the stones on the roadside or like the most distant galaxies. Today we know that in addition to baryonic matter there is dark matter, a component of the universe of which we know absolutely nothing.

Metaphysics holds that other nonmaterial forces of the cosmos exist besides matter, or the invisible forces connected to matter. These forces cannot be studied or measured in the laboratory, therefore materialistic science denies their existence. These are unknown forces that can only be intuited and investigated with human intelligence.

Therefore, metaphysics presupposes the existence of a form of cosmic intelligence that can only reveal itself to its equal, that is,
