      THE SPIRITUAL ALCHEMY OF THE VIOLET FLAME CAN TAKE PLACE EVERYWHERE IN LIFE. THE VIOLET FLAME IS THE MEMORY OF THE PERFECTION OF WHAT SHOULD BE—IN EVERYONE, EVERYTHING, EVERY PLACE, AND EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.

      The Greatest Gift of the New Millennium

      The violet flame is one of the most life-changing gifts anyone could ever receive. I discovered it in my early twenties, and it has continually transformed me, lifted my burdens, and raised my consciousness. And as I have shared the violet flame with people around the world, I’ve seen it provide answers to the difficult challenges they were facing and bring healing to their body, mind, and soul.

      The violet flame has tremendous power to affect our lives because it is a high-frequency light that spans physical and spiritual realms. It is the vibrant spiritual light and fire that transmutes energy from its current state into a higher one. This flame is the secret, spiritual fire of alchemy, and there is simply nothing in this world that compares with its ability to produce change.

      When violet flame enters the scene, it brings peace and order to our affairs, restores our vitality, and reestablishes the pure flow of energy in our lives. It inspires creativity. It invigorates and uplifts us. It can heal emotional and even physical problems, improve our relationships, and make life easier. And perhaps most importantly, the violet flame helps us fulfill our soul’s innermost desires. This all happens as its energies of mercy, forgiveness, joy, and freedom come into our world.

      The violet flame can do all of this for you. You can access the violet flame anytime or anywhere through prayers, mantras, and visualizations. Whatever you are doing—pursuing a business venture, raising a family, serving in your community, playing sports, following a spiritual practice (or all or none of the above)—the violet flame has the power to change your life for the better.

      Though most people do not know about the violet flame, people worldwide are sensing a new light of freedom and an energy of change. The winds of change are bringing tremendous innovations in every area of life. We live in a time of scientific and technological progress as well as a time of accelerated spiritual development. New horizons are open to us. We sense that we can contact a spiritual part of ourselves more easily than we ever could before. It is a time of opportunity to break free from the past and move into an unprecedented era of freedom, peace, and enlightenment.

      The violet flame is the missing element for our smooth passage into this new era. It has the power to create, to uncreate, and to resolve the problems of our times. It is the alchemical action of transmutation that allows us to transcend ourselves. And people everywhere who use the violet flame are beginning to discover their inner power and who they really are.

      When we think of the ages before electricity was harnessed, before Einstein gave us the formula E=mc², we say those were unenlightened times. But today we know little more about the spiritual light and fire imprisoned within us than was known centuries ago about the most basic physical forces.

      Indeed, there are spiritual forces within us, within every single cell and atom, within the fire of our heart. When we discover what these forces are, we will know how to unlock our highest potential. The gift of the violet flame is the key to this self-transformation. It is the universal agent of change that frees the unlimited power that exists right within us.

      As we explore how the light and fire of the violet flame can do all these things, its mysteries will be revealed.

      A POWERFUL HIGH-FREQUENCY LIGHT

      Isaac Newton, the great physicist and mathematician of the seventeenth century, observed that white light will separate into seven colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. If we take a prism and hold it in a sunny window, directing the refracted light onto a wall or ceiling, we see the breakdown of the white light into the primary and secondary colors, appearing as a vibrant rainbow.

      As you probably know, the highest color that can be seen in any rainbow is violet. And if you’ve ever studied the gorgeous rainbows that sometimes appear after a rain, you’ve noted that the violet seems to trail off into infinity as though there were more to the rainbow than the physical eye can see. And this is in fact so. The violet disappears into a higher frequency violet ray, forming a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual world. To the ancient mystics and alchemists, this transitional color was a spiritual rather than a physical phenomenon.

      Visible light is only a tiny portion of an electromagnetic spectrum of varying frequencies or wavelengths, which include radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet rays, X-rays, and gamma rays. And violet light has the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency of visible light. Just like the violet color in nature’s rainbow, this high-frequency violet light can be understood as a point of transition from the visible to the invisible, from the physical plane to the spiritual plane.

      Helena P. Blavatsky, esoteric researcher and co-founder of the Theosophical Society in the nineteenth century, described light as having seven colors or rays—each of which has specific attributes or qualities. Each of these seven rays is a concentrated spiritual light that has a specific action in body, mind, and soul. The violet flame comes from the aspect of light called the violet ray or the seventh ray, and this flame has the unique ability to change energy.

      CHANGING NEGATIVE ENERGY to POSITIVE ENERGY

      The violet flame is closest in vibratory action to the chemical elements and compounds in our physical universe, and therefore it has the greatest ability to interpenetrate and transform matter. Whatever it is—a tree, a flower, a mountain, the body, the soul—every atom and every molecule of Spirit and matter has its unique vibration, its unique keynote. And when the violet flame touches something, it automatically sings the note of that substance and the substance conforms to its own inner harmony, resuming its perfect frequency. That is why when the violet flame contacts the dense substance or negative energy of physical matter, it changes it to positive energy and allows it to flow freely once again.

      If you have studied acupuncture or yoga, you know that optimal health comes when spiritual energy—also called life energy, chi, or prana—is flowing freely through our bodies. This life energy invigorates our memory, our mind, and our feelings, as well as the cells and organs of our physical body. When the flow of energy slows and negative energy solidifies, it’s like the hardening of the arteries of our spiritual bodies. When we contain this negativity, we can gradually become less and less healthy unless we do something to turn ourselves around.

      Negative energy can manifest as anything from disease to mishaps to ingrained habit patterns that keep you from getting along with others. It can be energies picked up from those around you, like the emotions of frustration, anger, or fear. Or it can be burdens of past traumas lodged in the unconscious or subconscious. This energy can weigh you down and cause various problems in your life.

      The violet flame works at spiritual levels, permeating every cell and atom of your body, your mind, your emotions, your memories. When the violet flame comes into your world, it begins at the surface and then goes deeper and deeper. It can penetrate the most secret places of the mind and memory, even at subconscious and unconscious levels. It goes in, sweeps through, and cleans out the dust of centuries, restoring the natural flow of light within you.

      THE VIOLET FLAME IS SPIRITUAL FIRE

      The idea of asking for a flame to enter your life and change it for the better might seem unusual. Yet the theme of spiritual fire, or eternal flame, appears in many world traditions and major religions.

      Zarathustra witnessed the creation of all things from a single fire. In a flame of fire the angel of the LORD appeared unto Moses.¹ And out of that flaming flame was Moses’ contact with his own higher consciousness. Based on that experience, he told the children of Israel: The LORD thy God is a consuming fire.²

      The Zohar, an important work of the Jewish Kabbalah, affirms that there exists a sort of fire which is stronger than other fire.… Above the white light and encompassing it, is yet another light, this one symbolizing the supreme essence.³

      Christianity contains similar references to fire. Jesus said: I am come to send fire on the earth.⁴ The Christian mystics also spoke of fire. The Spanish mystic Saint John of the Cross was inwardly transformed in the living flame of love. Such is the activity of the Holy Spirit in the soul, he writes. The interior acts he produces shoot up flames for they are acts of inflamed love.⁵

      The violet flame is the fire of the Holy Spirit. So before its secrets were revealed, there were individuals through the ages who experienced this flame. Some saints and mystics have noted in their biographies that when they reached a certain point in their inner communion, they began to see a violet light and to experience the infilling of their being with the Spirit during prayer and meditation.

      Today we are gaining a deeper understanding of spiritual fire and how it works. The violet flame is spiritual fire, invisible to the naked eye and endowed with certain qualities of Spirit such as bubbling joy. It is an effervescent, luminescent, phosphorescent fire that appears to someone with spiritual sight as colors ranging from dark indigo to brilliant amethyst to violet-pink.

      TREASURED COLORS and GEMS

      Along with spiritual mystics and saints, other people throughout history have perceived that the range of colors from violet to purple have a unique significance. The Egyptians cherished the deep-violet amethyst as a soothing, healing stone, even as divine protection from evil. To greet Agamemnon on his return from Troy, his wife rolled out a purple-crimson carpet, tinted splendors reserved for the gods, noted the king.⁶ Homer’s Odyssey was sung by bards ceremonially wrapped in precious purples. Caesar also craved the costly purple color as the mantle of the supreme god, Jupiter.

      When Pilate’s soldiers platted the crown of thorns for Jesus, King of the Jews, they put a purple robe on him. This led to purple becoming a Christian symbol of mystic suffering and sacrifice. The Greek historian Lucian described a fabled city of gems, where altars were made of enormous blocks of amethyst. And during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, only members of the royal family were allowed to wear purple.

      Today, the colors violet and purple, long recognized as special, are popular in art, fashion, and home decor. Beautiful amethyst crystals and jewelry, carrying the vibration of violet light, are readily available. Sometimes violet light is used in events, movies, or advertisements to depict a spiritual force or higher power, perhaps reflecting an intuitive awareness of the violet flame. The young woman in the following story discovered the uplifting energy of the violet light while attending a meditation event.

      Being twenty-seven and a spiritual seeker, I attend various meditation and yoga events to help me center in my heart and connect with the real me that is beyond my day-to-day, sometimes humdrum life. I find more and more that I need these experiences to remind myself that there is more to life than earning a living to pay my rent so that I have a place to live while I earn a living to pay my rent!

      There are many spiritual-type events offered in my town, and there was one that was especially appealing to me. It was an experience with light and beautiful sounds created through the use of singing bowls.

      When I entered the room, the atmosphere scintillated with a spiritual energy that brought immediate peace and inspiration to my soul. The front of the room was illumined with a most beautiful violet light that felt uplifting and a little beyond this world. Intuitively I knew that this light was special. I centered in my heart at the sounds of the bowls and the soothing quality exuding from the violet light. I felt a sense of relief that for two hours I could retreat from the demands of life.

      This uplifting experience with violet light eventually led me to discover the violet flame. Now I use the violet flame regularly—to bring change where change is needed and to help smooth out the rough edges of my daily life. Everything seems to be getting lighter and lighter!

      A simple idea to focus the violet flame at your home or work is to have an amethyst quartz or geode. Then, while you go about your busy home or work life, that amethyst is always there with the powerful violet-flame energy of tranquility and transmutation.

      THE VIOLET FLAME IS for EVERYONE

      I believe the violet flame is the greatest gift of the new millennium, the most important gift we could have. I also consider Saint Germain’s release of the knowledge and use of the violet flame as the ultimate and major turning point for each one of us and for the world.

      In previous centuries, knowledge of the violet flame was taught to only a chosen few who had proven themselves worthy. It was not revealed to the masses until the 1930s, when Saint Germain released the knowledge of the violet flame to the world through the I AM Activity. During the years since its initial release, thousands of people have learned to use it for the benefit of themselves and all mankind. Mark Prophet, who founded The Summit Lighthouse in 1958, received further revelations on the violet flame that he shared with me when I began working with him in 1961. After Mark and
