The choice of wine is frequently dictated by the venue. Hotels will have a list for you to choose from, wineries will usually serve their own, and other venues often have supply agreements. This may come as a relief as it’s one less decision you have to make, but ask yourself: are you sure the wine provided will be something you’re proud to pour on your special day? Presumably, if you’ve chosen a winery as your venue, you know the wines or have at least tasted them. For other venues, make sure they let you taste the wines – preferably alongside
