Plodding along the pavement, the only thing I was enjoying about running was the show tune coming through my earphones. While raising two children and building a career as a drama teacher, I found running was a quick way to keep up my fitness level but I never once looked forward to it. The lyrics and beats of my favourite musical theatre soundtracks distracted me from the monotony.
