In human anatomy, the skin is that organ which provides or serves as a covering for the rest of the body's organs. It serves as a source of protection and receives sensory impulses from the external environment.
The human skin is made up of three layers of tissues namely:
Epidermis Dermis SubcutisThe skin is one part of the body that we are most familiar with. The reason could be because it is what we see, touch and feel daily, quite unlike other body parts. In fact, we groom the skin more than we do other body parts. Little wonder the jealousy that arises when we see our fellows with much smoother and beautiful skin.
Skincare can be confusing to today's consumer. A range of providers are involved with the care of the skin: aestheticians, facialists, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons are the ones that come most quickly to mind. In general, it is best to get your information about skin health from physicians who are specially trained in the science of this, our largest organ. Facialists and aestheticians provide important care that supplements the program that your dermatologist can plan for you. Given the range of skin conditions that arise, it is fortunate that many different skilled people are available to focus on everything from grooming to wrinkle prevention, from the rejuvenation of the aging face to the management of skin disease.
To be frank, Skincare and dermatology at large is such a vast area of medical care that it would be practically impossible to cover it exhaustively in one booklet. For this reason, this book covers the basic and most important facts that you need to know, things you ought to practice by yourself at home without necessarily consulting a physician. You may call it a Skin Care Self-help book. So many factors contribute to skincare; so many factors determine the state of a person's skin. There is sex, hormones, climate, diet, the environment, career, even politics, and ethnicity. This book will explain all you need to know about maintaining the good look your skin ought to have.

Introduction
This book guides you through the process of caring for your skin throughout life. We all know that information is power. So, I believe that by giving you the most accurate and up-to-date information, you will be able to give your skin the care it deserves and in turn possess the beauty you so desire. For over a decade I have been privileged to study dermatology, a medical specialty that includes the art and science of skin disease and the realm of aesthetics and skin rejuvenation. I care for people with serious skin disease and work, as well, on ways to turn back the skin signs of aging we are all eager to reverse. Looking healthy is an important step to feeling younger, and this book seeks to provide useful advice about keeping your skin healthy.
We should all be familiar with the structure of our skin. In fact, we should know it as well as we know the back of our palms. The skin is the body’s largest organ. What goes on inside our body is reflected on our skin. If we live a healthy life, it will certainly show on our skin. The purpose of this book therefore is to teach you what you should do to maintain the good-looking skin you’ve always desired. Medical science is not static. Daily, new advances are being made; new discoveries are being done, and new research is on the way. We therefore
have a role to play. Our role is to keep ourselves up to date with the latest information as it will help in maintaining our health status.
This is the era of information explosion, the internet is awash with all sorts of information, and so are bookshelves. In situations such as these, it may be a bit difficult to filter out the right information from the wrong one. This is what this book aims at – to give you the correct and accurate information on how best to care for your skin. What I have learnt over years of study and research is what I’m giving away in this book. You have in your palms all you need to give your skin a radiating look.
Skin care can be confusing to today's consumer. A range of providers are involved with care of the skin: aestheticians, facialists, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons are the ones that come most quickly to mind. In general, it is best to get your information about skin health from physicians who are specially trained in the science of this, our largest organ. Facialists and aestheticians provide important care that supplements the program that your dermatologist can plan for you. Given the range of skin conditions that arise, it is fortunate that many different skilled people are available to focus on everything from grooming to wrinkle prevention, from rejuvenation of the aging face to management of skin
disease.
To be frank, Skin care and dermatology at large is such a vast area of medical care that it would be practically impossible to cover it exhaustively in one booklet. For this reason, this book covers the basic and most important facts that you need to know, things you ought to practice by yourself at home without necessarily consulting a physician. You may call it a Skin Care Self-help book. So many factors contribute to skin care; so many factors determine the state of a person’s skin. There is sex, hormones, climate, diet, the environment, career, even politics and ethnicity. This book will explain all you need to know about maintaining the good look your skin ought to have.
Guide to Natural Skin Care can be read from beginning to end. My hope is that you will find the most enjoyable way for you to learn the information I've tried to convey.
Most important-read, learn, and be healthy!
