    Small-town schoolboy Murray Leinster, fourteen going on ten, finds his life revolutionised when he falls in love with new transfer student, Eve Chandler. As cosmic events draw ever closer to one small town and one small boy, many questions need to be answered: What is the secret of the ruined abbey in the woods? Why does Eve Chandler have a wristwatch communicator? Why aren't Mark and Dodo the main characters in the story? And just what is so special about Murray Leinster, anyway?     Chris Johnson is a professor of English literature, specialing in Canadian drama and theatre, at the University of Manitoba. He recently co-directed Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead with Margaret Groome for Stoppardfest 2007. Johnson was one of the first writers to bring the work of George F. Walker to critical attention, and he continues to write and give papers on Walker and dark comedy in Canadian drama.
