About this ebook

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yeshua, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Who will they reign over, if the rest of humanity is dead?

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

If Yeshua destroyed the wicked when he began his reign where did Satan find these nations to deceive?

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

If the saints were taken to heaven as many believe, how did Gog and Magog find the camp of the saints to encamp against it?

Unlocking The Mysteries of Revelation: The Two Resurrections Explained, provides the answers to these questions and reveals the true meaning behind the Resurrections witnessed by the Apostle John.

    About The Author

    CHAPTER ONE

The Book of Revelation remains one of the most mysterious books ever written. With visions of seven headed creatures, bottomless pits and killer angels being released upon the earth. Of fire breathing prophets and a supernatural image with the power to put men, women and children to death. With visions of ferocious human headed locusts, in the form of war horses, bent on eradicating mankind, it is no wonder the Apostle John has managed to ensnare the minds of many for centuries.

Within the Christian community, it is a well established fact; these visions the Apostle received from God while in exile on the Island of Patmos, are all highly symbolic. They need to be studied carefully, before coming to a conclusion. At least if you're searching for the truth.

In one of his earliest visions, John was met by a curious sight. Surrounded by seven golden candlesticks, was a figure whom he thought resembled the Son of man. In this person's right hand, were seven stars; but what took the vision from puzzling to bizarre, was the sharp two edged sword protruding from his mouth!

A sword in someone's mouth? Seven stars in his hand? Who has ever heard of such a thing? When coming across this passage for the first time, the fantastical imagery stirs up many questions. Fortunately, the same man the Apostle was observing, came forward with the interpretation.

The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches, he told John.

What about the sword in his mouth? Well, this mystery is soon cleared up, when we recall the writer of Ephesians stating, And take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The sword in his mouth showcased our Lord's chosen weapon; truth. When wielded correctly, the word of our God is like a two edged sword, capable of slaying the wicked.

Again, in another vision, John saw a prostitute arrayed in purple, sitting upon many waters. The angel with him was quick to explain, ‘The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.’

This leaves us with the understanding that nothing in this book should be taken at face value. We need to tread cautiously when studying these visions.

Christians seem to have gotten the message and have done well in following this rule. At least, until we come upon Revelation 20; the two resurrections.

For some reason, when we begin to study the Resurrection of the dead from John's perspective, all rules are thrown out the window. This has led to many strange theories that lead only to dead ends.

When people think of the Messiah returning, many envision him bursting forth from the skies and eradicating the wicked. They picture the righteous who died for Christ, rising from their graves, joining their brothers and sisters still alive on the day. Together, we all float off to heaven and live happily ever after, while the wicked are tormented in hell for the rest of eternity.
