      INTRODUCTION

      MY God is Awesome and worthy of our praises! He is the only true God, and we need to have a personal relationship with Him so we can know Him. He is our Heavenly Father, Lord, Savior, Provider, Healer, Comforter, Protector, and Friend. His unconditional love for us was proven when Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

      The people of the world cannot know God because their eyes are blinded and their hearts are deceived by the evils around them. The god of this world strives to appease the desires of people, but God does not change. He does not cater to itching ears, nor does He compromise His laws or fall short of fulfilling His promises. He is the same God today as He was at the beginning of time, and as He will be throughout eternity.

      As we study the Scriptures, God’s words come alive in us and He becomes our only reason for living, our only hope for a positive future. We begin to see that God is the giver and sustainer of life, and that He is the answer to all of our problems. Regardless

      of how great or how small our trials in life are, when we give them to God, He will give us the victory through them.

      We can know God and worship Him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength when we develop a personal relationship with Him. Our hearts will overflow with joy because we’ll know that God truly is a God of grace and forgiveness, that His love for us is genuine and unconditional, and that His judgments are righteous and fair. When His truth is in our heart, we know that God is all we need and that He IS awesome!

      I wrote this book to provide a collection of Scriptures that will help encourage believers in their walk with God. There are times in life when we all feel that God is far away, and we need to be revived so we can be who He has called us to be. Hopefully, you will be encouraged as you read the many Scriptures and see who God is to you! This book is easy to read and can be a ready-reference for you as your relationship with God grows. But don’t stop with this book; study the Scriptures prayerfully and keep your precious walk with God alive!

      God loves us and sustains us while we’re here, and He’s given us the promise of a fantastic eternal future with Him. I hope your heart will draw closer to God so you can know that He IS Awesome, and that He alone deserves our praises!

      MY God is the Creator

      God is the Creator of all things that exist! Creation did not come about via the big-bang theory; life is not a scientific accident; people did not evolve from anything. God deliberately and skillfully created the heavens and the earth and everything that is on, above, and beneath the earth. We can see the awesome wonder of His creation when we gaze up at the stars, and when we look around us. We’ll see His glory in the beautiful surroundings of nature—and it’s not mother nature; this is GOD’S nature. Only God could create such incredible details and beauty to every unique existence of life in our world and in all the universes. Only God could create complex beings like you and me, and surround us with His hand-crafted splendor in all the wonders of nature. As we consider the big picture of life in everything that is around us, there is no doubt that MY God is the Creator.

      In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.—Genesis 1:1

      Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.—Genesis 1:26-27

      And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.—Genesis 1:29

      This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.—Genesis 5:1

      "Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.—Genesis 9:6

      Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ "—Exodus 31:16-17

      You alone are the Lord; You have made Heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them, and You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.—Nehemiah 9:6

      He gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields.—Job 5:10

      The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.—Job 33:4

      When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.—Psalm 8:3-5

      The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.—Psalm 19:1

      By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.—Psalm 33:6

      Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.—Psalm 33:8-9

      For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.—Psalm 96:5

      Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.—Psalm 100:3

      You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.—Psalm 104:30

      My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.—Psalm 121:2

      For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.—Psalm 139:13

      The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens.—Proverbs 3:19

      O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.—Isaiah 37:16

      Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing.—Isaiah 40:26

      The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.—Isaiah 40:28

      Thus says God the Lord who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it, "I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand—Isaiah 42:5-6
