About this ebook

God owns all things and we are stewards of everything he gives us. He created and is re-creating so that we are blessed at all times. Man is faced with a major challenge. His faith and his finances have to meet at the T-junction of faithfulness. Rev Israel Kristilere believes this is the sure pathway to lasting prosperity.
His teaching on tithe is rooted in the scriptures. His caution goes to The Church Personnel, Finance and Executive Committees that specialize in reducing the emolument of their ministers, the care of the needy and missionary work that they should desist from "positioning the Church for a curse." In a similar vein, he agreed with a friend of R.W. Neighbour that "God has many ways of collecting tithes if not paid to the Church -through adversity, sickness, unemployment." Therefore, each believer must give willingly and generously not only to God but also to men of God.

Your Pathways To Undeniable Blessings - Israel Kristilere

    INTRODUCTION

SHOULD I ACCEPT THEM FROM YOUR HANDS?

" Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, So that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, Says the Lord of hosts, Nor will I accept an offering from your hands.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations," Says the Lord of hosts.

¹² "But you profane it, In that you say, 'The table of the Lord is defiled; And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.'

¹³ You also say, 'Oh, what a weariness!' And you sneer at it, Says the Lord of hosts. And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand?" Says the Lord.

¹⁴ "But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished." (Malachi 1:10-14)

The book of Malachi, besides the fact that it is the last book of the Old Testament is unique for many other reasons. The book was written to confront the people of God with their sins and restore them back to God. It was written also to show them that no matter  how bad things have become, the breach was repairable and all hope was not lost. God can heal, He can mend and re-weave the fabric. Our God is not only a creator, but also a re-creator. If what he has created has been marred by the devil, God can recreate and turn things around for the good of His people.

    (A) The Unfortunate Situation

" A son honours his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honour? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the Lord of hosts. To you Priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?'

"You offer defiled food on My altar. But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the Lord is contemptible.'

And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favourably?" Says the Lord of hosts.

"But now entreat God's favour, That He may be gracious to us. While this is being done by your hands, Will He accept you favourably?" Says the Lord of hosts.

¹⁰ "Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, So that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain?

Should I accept this from your hand? Says the Lord. (Mal.1:6-13)

According to Malachi Chapter 1 verses 6-13, the people of Israel wanted the blessings of God, His grace and favour, but they were not getting as much as they desired because they did not meet the divine standard. They were offering unacceptable sacrifices to God. God firstly held the Priests responsible because they failed not only to correct the people, but rather condoned their sinful acts. The fault of the Priests was that they aided and abetted the people in acts that were inimical to their welfare. When the Pastors fail to teach the people correctly what God exactly expects from them, the people then do whatever they like and that most of the time, will lead them astray. Because the Priests failed to teach the truth, the Bible says, God cursed the blessings of the Priests.

And now, O priests, this commandment is for you.

² If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart." ( Malachi 2:1-2)

Indifference on the part of the priests for whatever reasons cannot be acceptable to God. Many times as a Pastor, ( especially at the early period of my ministry) I must confess I have shied away from telling people what they ought to give to contact their blessings. Most of the times when I try to summon courage to preach on giving, I try to leave out some aspects that might make people to misinterpret me. But the truth of the matter is that a Pastor is not called out to defend or protect himself from being misinterpreted, but to preach the whole truth of the word of God. This book therefore, is a bold attempt to let you know the truth that will set you free.

    (B) Unacceptable Sacrifices.

" And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favourably?" Says the Lord of hosts.

"But now entreat God's  favour, That He may be gracious to us. While this is being done by your hands, will He accept you favourably?" Says the Lord of hosts.

¹⁰ "Who is there even among you who would shut the doors, So that you would not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, Says the Lord of hosts, nor will I accept an offering from your
