About this ebook
It's time for you to raise your vibration!
Do you have an amazing idea for a novel but you struggle to stay in the story?
Do you ever find yourself struggling for creative inspiration?
When the moon has aligned and your muse is dancing beneath the stars as your fingers pulse along the keyboard, life is glorious to the writer. But what happens when you glance up and notice that the moon has shifted, your muse has left you high and dry, and the steady tempo of your words becomes all but a fading memory?
You know what I'm talking about. I've been there – my Muse has skipped out and left me lurking in a place devoid of inspiration while the moon has forsaken me beneath a swathe of wordless clouds. I've experienced those discordant moments as I've desperately scoured my mind in search of prompts and ideas that have eluded me. But I am a writer. You are a writer. We can't just hang around twiddling our unmanicured thumbs waiting for the Muse to return and the moon to hang just right.
Put an end to writer's block for good as we give you a range of alternative methods and ideas that you can use to access your higher-creative mind. That part of yourself that remains hidden and unexplored, and brimming with story ideas and characters you have yet to meet. Muse or no muse.
Creative Writing Energy: Tools to Access Your Higher-Creative Mind is the first in a series for authors from bestselling and award-winning authors, Kim Petersen and Catherine Evans.

Never get used to playing it safe. I love this phrase, and I can honestly say those words very much apply to this book. If Catherine and I wanted to play it safe, this book never would have made it into fruition. Playing it safe would have meant us avoiding discussing some of the following topics at all costs. After all, there is a certain stigma surrounding the realm of new age
thinking and we’ve gone ahead and applied this thinking to our creative writing. Moreover, we’ve begun recording a YouTube blog series to go along with this book. Talk about pushing the comfort zone.
Never get used to playing it safe.
For those souls that have crossed my path, enriched my life and inspired me, I am humbly grateful. These are folks that push the boundaries and think outside the box. People that are not satisfied with the ordinary and definitely don’t play it safe.
In Catherine Evans I have discovered someone who never says no
to my crazy ideas. Who is passionate and open to exploration and willing to travel along uncharted territory. A risk-taker and visionary – a kindred spirit. What would I do without her ears, words, patience and time? I cannot express words enough for the love that exists within me for our ongoing creativity, brainstorming and projects. She is an amazing woman, fun to work with and has fast become a treasured friend.
I have known Blair Stewart for about four years. During that time, he and Jimmy – a Vanuatu Healer existing in the higher-realms – have become some of the most special beings to have ever touched my life. Blair continues to act as a solid mentor and trusted friend in my life. It is his encouragement and faith in me that keeps me diving in and exploring new ideas. His vision of me and my capabilities is a notion I strive to fulfil. Without his support and love, I’m uncertain how far my courage might extend.
Xavier Eastenbrick may seem like an elusive online presence to some. I crashed into his inbox late year and he hasn’t been able to shake me since. There are not enough words to express the gratitude I have for this very special man. Through his generosity and kindness, he has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. Whether it has been through the wise words he so readily extends to those in need, the hundreds of wands he lovingly creates by hand for sick children, or just chewing the fat
on the phone and allowing me to keep him up till midnight New York City time, his patience and faith in the world is limitless; and so is my admiration for him.
I want to thank Judy Sweeney for her beautiful heart, her bright light and integrity, and for taking the time to contribute some important words to Creative Writing Energy, helping to layer the fabric of this book.
To the path, the universe, personal experiences, and the heart and soul connections that have added richness to my life, offered profound lessons, support and claimed moments forever etched in time, my appreciation knows no boundaries. Nor does my love. You know who you are.
And to you, dear creator, for allowing these words to find you. May you create with love in your heart and continue to uplift the world with your creativity. Never get used to playing it safe.

This book would never have come about without my fortuitous meeting with Kim. Thank you to the South Coast Writers Centre, Wollongong Writers Festival, and to the stars and planets for aligning. This is the second book we’ve worked on, and they just happen. Kim’s the air that fans my fire. We have an idea, and next thing it’s happening. We’re laughing at each other and life, even as we’re working our butts off to meet our crazy goals and deadlines. I’ve never worked like this, and it’s exhilarating. Thank you for sharing this with me, Kim. You’re amazing.
My parents, Jim and Sue, instilled a great grounding and fed my enquiring mind. For that, and many other gifts and learning, I’m grateful.
My poor husband has put up with me delving into erotic writing and now spirituality. I’m sure he scratches his head and wonders what he’s got himself caught up in, but he’s there, at my back (hiding). Thank you for your amused tolerance of my craziness.
When I approached other creatives to request permission to use their work, I never expected the joy, happiness, and thrill I’d receive from their replies. Every person I asked responded in such a positive manner, I was blown away. Thank you, Jodi Cleghorn, Stephen Aidan, Allyson Williams-Yee, Sharlyn Hidalgo, Marie White, and Beth Seilonen. It’s no wonder your creativity inspires me!
It’s an absolute joy to work with Patti and Paradox Book Covers and Formatting. Her covers are amazing. Thank you for an inspiring cover, with elements for so many more creations.
Thank you to these amazing souls who read my early messy drafts and gave feedback for which I’m ever grateful. Thank you to Paul, who edited such a rough draft from me. I hope to be more organized in the future.
To all who’ve walked with me along my life path, or crossed it, or shared any part of my journey, thank you for opening my eyes, imagination and mind.
And to my left brain that’s struggling with this creative life and writing this book, thank you for relaxing and trusting the right brain, most of the time!
