Description
The 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake provided a devastating reminder of California's propensity for shaking, the vulnerability of buildings and infrastructure, and how much we rely on community preparedness. One of the great successes of Loma Prieta recovery is a new model for community preparedness - a network of non-profit organizations working together to promote life skills that include disaster preparedness. Ana-Marie Jones leads one, if not the first, organization to employ this new, successful model.
