Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana, was the victim of an almost fatal shooting a few years back while playing in a practice Congressional baseball game. The killer was a Democrat intent on killing republicans, and he came close. The attacker James Hodginkson was ultimately killed by armed Capitol police escorting the Congressmen. Scalise believes that people are bad, not guns, and any further restrictions on the 2nd amendment hurts the American people.
