Description

This broadcast is about the ever increasing violent behaviors we are seeing with younger and younger children.  While there are no simple solutions, the answer is always to come up with a function based plan; meaning do a functional behavior assessment to determine the root cause of the violence and then implement a plan based on that function.  We have a new tool on our website to help you graph ABC (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence) data http://tinyurl.com/newfbadatatool   If you like what you see you can download the tool for free at www.behaviordoctor.org- click on the bottom of the home page where it says "functional behavior assessment" and click on the New FBA Data Tool from June of 2011.  This new one makes the old one look like it's from the cave ages.

Also, my new book helps learners go through the entire process of a functional behavior assessment by implementing PBIS a tthe tertiary level. http://www.amazon.com/Positive-Behavior-Support-Tertiary-Level/dp/1412982014/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309403503&sr=8-1
