Sr. Helena presents Catholic teaching on gender and "LGBTQ" issues from a Theology of the Body perspective which includes a brief introduction to Theology of the Body, as well as insights from Courage International (a spiritual support group for same-sex attracted Catholics). This talk was recorded live, February 2017, at St. Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church, Markham, Ontario, Canada and is being published here at the request of Sr. Helena. This is the second part of a two part podcast. Known as “Media Nun,” Sr. Helena Burns, fsp, is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation founded to communicate God’s Word through the media. Her communication tools extend to speaking engagements, teaching, social media, film, radio, and written publications. Besides giving media and Theology of the Body workshops to youth and adults all over the U.S. and Canada, Sr. Helena does movie reviews for Sirius XM--The Catholic Channel. She wrote and directed a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione and is a co-producer on The 40 Film, a documentary on the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. She is the author of a Theology of the Body curriculum for teens/young adults/adults: What Does It Mean To Be Human: Life's Questions, Theology of the Body's Answers, and also wrote a daily book for women titled He Speaks to You.
