We constantly encounter old expressions like a picture says more than a thousand words
that point in the direction that the picture is convincing, but at the same time pictures are often accompanied by texts. How is this connected? The photographer and artist Man Ray, in his autobiography, tells about when he would give a lecture and got the proposal to start from the old Chinese proverb: An image says more than a thousand words
