Introduction
I want to thank you and congratulate you for downloading Evernote: Master the Powerful New Way to Organize Projects and Optimize Productivity. Collect, Share and Grow Ideas in Any Format Across Platforms.
This book is intended for the beginner user, either having recently started to use Evernote or coming to it for the first time. Evernote is an ever-expanding platform for sharing, cataloging and organizing. It can be used for business, education, your personal life, and everything in between. Evernote can be used as a free app, but has far more versatility in its paid versions. It can be accessed from virtually any operating system, making it a perfect way to share information across devices. In this book, you will learn about the many uses of Evernote, and how it can be used to improve business or daily life.
There are many resources out there for learning Evernote, so why use this one? Simple, while other material will walk you through the uses of Evernote, they do so in a bland, dry way. There is little difference between most of those resources and reading an instruction manual to Evernote. This book aims to keep things fresh and interesting by presenting real world scenarios where Evernote can be of use.
Over the course of this book, you will learn about a small business hoping streamline their expansion with Evernote. You will read about a family that has grown to bond more closely from using Evernote to share family moments and relay information. You will see a group of college students use Evernote to make a killer project, a freelance programmer use the program to improve his work life, and a regular Joe seeking to organize the many details of his life. By using these specific scenarios, grounded but fun, you will not only learn about how you can utilize Evernote effectively, but will also have the information stay with you for much longer. By using examples as a teaching tool, the tips in this book will have a much longer lasting effect than referring to the instruction manual nature of other books on Evernote.
It’s time to organize your life, improve your business, and share moments with the family. Continue reading to learn about the versatile uses of Evernote and how you can use a simple and easy program to organize and share your life.

Chapter 1: A Quick Introduction to Evernote
What Can It do?
Evernote is designed to create lists and to catalog your life. Think about it as a multipurpose Post-It note: one that is infinitely long, infinitely divisible, and can be carried with you wherever you go. It can be used for creating simple lists like a supermarket shopping list, or it can be used to create a catalog of videos for a history project. The type of media that can be placed into documents is endless, and how this media is presented can be viewed in several different ways. Evernote can read like a Microsoft Word document if you would like, or it can be presented as a presentation similar to Prezi. It can be used for sharing information on your multiple devices, or it can be used to share information with other people. You can also present data through Evernote by chopping up a note into ‘slides’, similar to the functionality of Microsoft Power Point.
The feature set of Evernote is not so expansive as to make the program complicated or cumbersome. The actual total number of features the software has is not all that large. Evernote can essentially do much of what Microsoft Word can, just with more ease and flexibility. You can import images or graphs from the web. You can make notes in a variety of fonts; you can create tables and graphs within Evernote. The real question
