      Introduction

      A lot has changed since I first started writing about money and budgets. I didn’t like the term frugal and in fact, discouraged its use.

      However, I now have a new view. If you check the dictionary and see what the word really means you’ll be surprised to learn that being called frugal is actually a compliment-
