The Emancipation Gene: The Psycho-Dynamics of Western Society
By Steven Kuhn
()
About this ebook
From the birth of a conscious being, to the idealistic parenting and fast-evolving social landscape, Steven Kuhn details the culture of vanity and self-obsession and exactly how we ended up that way.
The overwhelming self-destruction propagated from the 1980s to the present day has drastically altered fashion, created false idols and over-sexualised our children.
Whether it be changes to parenting strategies, sexuality, mass media or an individual’s neurobiology, cultural norms in Britain have changed drastically – is this progressive or regressive?
Steven Kuhn
After a lengthy academic career gathering diplomas, Steven Kuhn began a deep study of neurobiology, psychology, history, fashion and politics. It was the diabolical state of the social landscape in Britain which led him to write two full-length books.

Preface
We, as a species, underestimate the importance of reminiscence. One would need only cast their gaze back and delve within their minds to recollect in hindsight. So vividly I recall strolling through the woods in my adolescence; soft winds caressing the auburn trees as they whispered autumn’s dawn.
Upon my dusty walk through the blazed onset of orange forestry, I cast my stare towards a trail, each side given shelter from the forming archway of the trees atop. In the distant fog at the end of the trail, I saw the silhouette of a woman, sitting with her knees to her chest and clutching her legs; she was crying. It was upon reminiscence of this occurrence that one is given the opportunity to cast valuable thought to the fact that each and every individual, from the point of birth to the point of death, is subject to onslaughts of environmental, psychological, sociological and neurological credence. Hindsight has profoundly given me the opportunity to convey such understanding to you all.
As we cast our proverbial gaze of optimism at the very window of life, it does not take long to succumb to the ever-present understanding that as we progress through the ages, with austerity-ridden authoritarian rule under the guise of democracy forever squeezing our imaginative creativity, it would appear that western culture has borne the brunt of a gargantuan shift of ideals.
It would appear, as if by the will of uncertainty, that our upcoming generation has enveloped an enormous sense of subdividing self-centredness, seeking self-satisfaction and blind consumerism in place of ambition and freedom of existential thought.
It could so easily be construed that for the most part, the majority of the average human life seeks to find its own true path, whilst surrounding itself with the animalistic need for love, affection, egotism, passivity and gluttony. It is with the great epiphany that in the modern age humanity has witnessed a shift in the foundations of forging new relationships with each other. It could greatly be argued that as our cultural and personal differences have risen in extremity, many are left hapless and devoid of the human need for the affectionate, satisfactory and long-term yearning for love and guidance.
Having myself witnessed many split opinions on the perfect way to advance in the quest for closeness during a finite life, or the easiest way to appeal to your external reality, I felt it almost a social responsibility to convey the workings of the quaint western mind in all its glory as I sat shaking my head in discord whilst witnessing many young individuals becoming subject to a perverse global media, burgeoning fashion and the development of self-preservation.
It was at the point of ploughing through the decadence of twenty-first century society I realised that it should seem fairly obvious that no one can cast a generalised view on a topic such as the psycho-social functioning of the human mind; as previously mentioned, there are far too many variables, such as the differing views and the individual need to belong to an ideology shaping the preferences of the individual, as well as the differing environmental upbringing, none of which are ever quite the same. It is seldom stressed that every sentient individual has their differences in regards to their desires and behavioural patterns; the answers to such conundrums shall be revealed in absolute depth throughout this book.
It is with sadness that we are to naturally turn our noses up at hypothetical talk; wise minds have forever stated that science ends where facts begin. Given thought, this is most certainly true as we can easily deter that when facts diminish, new groundwork is given birth, allowing us to expand and develop our thought patterns, to work as if the future were present today, to think ahead with creativity and action. I recall being subject to a rather mind-boggling video dictating the illusionary effects of the light year. Whilst we cannot say with the conclusion that humanity has broken the speed of light, we can say with confidence that once a secondary means of measurement is brought in, opinions change quickly. What was stressed here is that with the use of shadows, the speed of light can be broken? Suppose, for instance, there exists a light strong enough to beam on to the moon’s surface from earth, one may interrupt this beam of light by placing your hand in front of it, much like the wall shadows we all remember as kids. Consider that as the shadow of your finger moved from the left side of the face of the moon to the right side, theoretically, the shadow on the moon’s surface will have broken the speed of light. As we take this into account, we come to realise that hypothesis within itself is never flawed, due to the illusionary effects, it has on the expansion of minds. Thus hypothesis is embraced as a means for which to widen our reasoning and forward our ideals accordingly.
It essentially remains a minefield for the hapless individual, a war of ideals if you will. That being said, it falls upon me now to delve into these highly controversial topics in all their depths as we embark on a truly enlightening thirst for knowledge.

Chapter I
The Naivety of Environment
Family is a concept that will never go undervalued; it is essentially the birthplace of the operant conditioning of youth. I distinctly remember my family and I engaged in the quintessentially traditional game of chess, though as one progresses through the milestones of life, the mirrored effects of chess become more relevant to the externalities of the playground of life. As one puts themselves in place of the queen, they begin to perceive their course of sociology. The king piece, the flanking relation of the opposing gender, the closest in the queen’s immediate circle, the one of whom holds heavy reliance for the queen. The knights, the closest of surrounding pieces, stand right by the side of the queen; in close relation to the cliques we form in order to reaffirm our social standing, defending the queen’s honour, assuring she chooses a suitable mate to provide the utmost perceived value. The bishops are able to move great distances in many directions, becoming the gatherers of informative rumour, to report back to the king or queen in order to be kept abreast of all social interaction. The castle rooks, the direct methods of security and comfort, the oldest and dearest friends of whom they’ll place their trust. And perhaps most cacophonous, the pawns, the lesser followers forever in search of direction and knowledge, cast at the frontline of the social minefield of the environment.
It is with absolute transparency that we have borne witness to our foregone system of life; many of us have been mentally and financially severed by its perversions. Though what must be considered as the primary foundations of understanding the externally charged minds of the current generation are indeed the externalities themselves.
Before the very inception of the child’s life, embryogenesis and neurulation inside the womb have already laid the groundwork for a great deal of the child’s abilities. There are many genetic conditions which will inhibit the child’s educational progression, whether academic or otherwise.
There exists a gene which develops from the X chromosome known as FMR1, a mutation, which leads to structural abnormalities in the Basal Ganglia region of the brain. This is a very important functioning area for the developing child, as this genetic mutation can cause the child to become hyper-aroused by sensory stimuli as well as posing cognitive deficits and emotional anxiety issues in later years. As stated, there are an untold amount of neural risks
