    Introduction

There are many commonly held misconceptions about vegan diets. Realize that it’s not just a diet. It’s a lifestyle that improves your health and contributes towards the betterment of the environment. Many people don’t understand what it really means to become a vegan. According to a recent survey, around 2.5% of U.S population is vegan⁵. There has been a trending increase in the vegan population due to the beneficial impact it can have on our lives.

A vegan diet can also help you slim down and maintain your weight, while maintaining your energy levels. Avoiding animal products can help you avoid obesity and develop lower BMIs. Veganism encourages you to eat more fruits and vegetables, which can lower the risk of several cardiovascular diseases¹.

If you are a regular consumer of meat and dairy and feel loss of energy in the middle of the day, be warned! This may be the effects of the meat-based diet which can cause lethargy and energy loss in the muscle tissues. To free yourself from the bounds of cholesterol and saturated animal fat compounds, adopt a vegan
