About this ebook
Wayne Jasmin
Wayne Jasmin is a mental health nurse who has used his nursing experience and his own nights of insomnia to convey in verse some of the feelings people who experience either can relate to. Writing poetry became something of interest to the author later in life, around his mid thirties and was very much influenced by his mothers earlier written work. His poetry went hand in hand with his own interest in art and its varied styles such as technical drawing, sketching and graffiti as he found it to be another way to creatively express himself. After years of rich and varied friendships the author is able to touch on matters of interest that links to most peoples' psyche as he uses life experiences of acquaintances to shape much of his poems.

When my son was six he said; ‘dad, when I die no one apart from my family will remember me’.
I said; ‘in that case you’ll have to do something that makes you well known son’.
I wrote this book and may not become well known but it’s a start for him to pursue.

Chapter One
Take Two On The Past
Dance for the moon
Shiftless sand danced life’s elixir in seas open watered lore
darting up, diving down; fireflies dazzle moonlights sky
crotchet shaped stars ignite notes to play heavens airy tune
exacting splendour; gilt finned fish strum scales across the flashing night,
inside magnetic current eels animated fantasies spring to life
chaos affably accepts calm; an array of shoals run rife,
free formed infant seahorse frolic with head bows marked polite
an abundance of luminaries share expectations under old times hallowed moon,
witnessing skies grace unfold; shooting stars glow by;
rhythms reveal shiftless sand buried deep in seas crested shore.
Spontaneously novice tides reverb electric dancing waves
creating visual music, seahorses trumpet to harmonise with a mini grand,
strumming chords with spirits high, shoals cavort waters playground space;
merging moonlights mystery; twilight bends bright corners of suns’ yesterdays
radiating ghostly coils; a halo lassoes the beach,
reaching for agreement moons’ chalky lunate eagerly smiles to teach;
holding a glorified position of skies satisfied gaze,
delicate runs of glittered fish pattern a trail of spidery lace;
retaking flight then diving down; nights’ delight play sky’s black tie music band
as moons’
