The Search

In today’s fast paced modern world, our three-dimensional lives are totally overrun with the illusion of a physical reality that encourages living only by our five senses. A side effect of which has lost us contact with nature, the wonder of the living world around us and most importantly ourselves, along with our divine place in the Cosmos. Our world is so convenient, synthetic and completely commercialized. It has encouraged a materialistic life style of which has enslaved us into a false reality. The result of this reality is that we experience a daily strife of keeping a roof over our heads and the preoccupation of surviving in the world rather than living our lives. Our forever advancing technologies and innovations keep us drawn to the thrill of the next innovative new product. This, the age of materialism, we are so in touch with, keeps us distracted from ourselves. Our world is a smaller place, thanks to air travel, the Internet and social networks, giving us easy reach far across the globe. Mass media exposure of a well-controlled information flow ensures our captive attentions. Recreational activities have never been so vast, with TV, Film, Gaming & Sports to name but a few, persistently lure us to interact outwardly, keeping our attention away from ourselves. So, with everything the world has to offer us today, why do so many of us feel there is really something missing in our lives?

The reality is that so many of us live unknowingly in a dream state, consumed by one’s daily routines, preoccupied with maintaining their current lifestyles or the nightmare worry of finding ways to improve them. The truth is, this incredibly commercialized, high tech lifestyle that has already swept the western world and now sweeping into the Eastern world, is very stressful, pressurizing, time consuming and totally Spiritually blinding. The world around us, we call Modern day life, is structured and organized for us to be outwardly stimulated in everyway possible and reliant on a clock work capitalistic system. Hence most of us have forgotten or don’t have the insight to reflect on our lives’ inwardly any more. Most of us today only reflect inwards as a result of exhaustion by over consumption of everyday living or by the advent of a major life – changing event. Perhaps even through bad health, heartbreak, sorrow or the survival of some disaster are always causes for one to stop and reflect inwardly for understanding and guidance.

Well believe it or not, Reflecting inwards has profound effects! It causes many to make decisions and drastic life changes even though sometimes they may be temporary. However others awaken to a new reality where there begins the search of that something missing in their lives.

Reflecting inwardly opens the mind to a sea of potential. When one looks inside long enough they are hit with the realization of their captivity. Then begins the conscious effort to stop being lured into the persuasions and inflictions of the outward stimuli. This allows them the freedom to clear the mind and find self-wisdom to go in search of that something that is missing in life.

The search begins, firstly the initial reflection turns to one’s own emotional requirements, Love and Happiness. The analysis of which leads to the analysis of relationships with family and friends. Once this has been tackled and necessary changes made, the next reflection is that of one’s occupation. Now, considering how much time one spends actually earning a living it can be a major factor in the stress and pressures of everyday living. So, career and work issues become the obvious next thing that can be altered or improved. However the reality for most, is the restriction of one’s financial commitments does not allow them to make sufficient changes that allows them the necessary benefits of doing that something that is their true passion, that would bring them joy and happiness or sense of fulfillment. From here on, there is a mass of possibilities, dependent on one’s cultural upbringing, social surroundings and willingness to learn or open up to a flood of new possibilities outside one’s limited range of everyday living and striving.

In search to the Key of fulfillment, the intellectually inclined may turn to literature and history for answers or science for further in depth understandings and inspirations. Many will be enticed by the intrigue of alternative religious beliefs as the vehicle to find comfort and peace. The more adventurous will embark on a Spiritual Journey to obtain knowledge and wisdom that could fulfill their lives with a sense of being and purpose. Others will explore the occult and Magic as a means to obtain their evident missing needs and wants in life. After pursuing one of the paths often after some years they are abandoned for different paths, and so the search goes on.

One will find that each path has its restrictions, biases and limitations. Many therefore will be deluded and forget the search and return to the outward stimuli and continue to live their three dimensional lives, comfortably limited to their five human senses. Maybe once again becoming disheartened as they continue in the hide and seek cycle of life. Some however, will pursue a variety of paths, accumulating and storing away much contradictory and somewhat conflicting knowledge, which causes confusion, distress and frustration leading many to abandon the search at this point.

A limited few will persevere, the more determined will find the path of the combined study of Meta Physics, an unbiased, open minded evaluation of Mythology, Cosmology, Ancient History, Religion, Science, Medical, Art, Astrology, Magic and Occult. The world of Metaphysics is vast, expanding over the Ages and across the Globe with its many traditions and cultures. An investigation, encompassing the Old and New from Yoga to Mudra, Astrology to Numerology, Reiki to Falun Gong, Didgeridoos to Singing Bowls, Feng Shui to Vaastu, Charms to Amulets. It is just endless!! Onto World religious beliefs to compiled anthropological traditions, Archeological findings, Religious rituals and Magical Spells. On and on the variety and potentials, understandably leaves the initiate explorer confused, overwhelmed, sometimes deluded or plainly disheartened, due to lack of understanding or mental ability to accept so many different aspects of the vast number of belief systems and Metaphysical tools, however the search goes on……

By now the search has gone so far that it is probably consuming a lot of one’s spare time and resources and begins to have an impact on one’s life, which is becoming almost like a complete life’s mission at this point. For those that don’t fall victim to ridicule from skeptical family and friends or confrontations from work colleagues or the over-whelming fear of no longer conforming to the normal accepted way of being in the hypnotic surrounding 3D realty and 5 sense limited reality of their community. The search continues and the realization that modern living with all its potentials and recreational activities has distracted them from themselves and their true potential for so long. One becomes sometimes frustrated that, that one thing is there within reach, but slowly one increases their awareness to all that surrounds them, bringing them to the next realization that all is not what it seems. A new found freedom and sense of living starts the appreciation of all other life forms, animals and plant life. The wonders of nature begin to fills their hearts with a sense of joy. Upon reflection one realizes that there is natural wonder to this life for which one has been imprisoned and distracted from. One begins to break free from and block out the bombardment of hypnotic mind control and subliminal messaging found in our Music and Films. One begins to ignore the parade of manipulated propaganda world news and media. The false realities on the world stage take a back seat position; this in turn reduces the inner fear in one’s reality that is part of our modern world. One begins to then analyze everything, their surroundings and their awareness of others and eventually they find themselves. One then becomes a human being with a more sensitive awareness with a higher developed sense of emotion and love, due to the self-reflection process.

Self reflection and its’ eventual expanded awareness leads to one finding his intuitive self, and here is where any conflictions and contradictions accumulated on the search become resolved. The development of one’s intuition involves cutting your mind off from everyday thoughts and not listening to your rational mind for answers. Once trust of your intuition is in place and becomes reliable, a whole host of realities will unfold before you. A true sense of knowing, an uncontained happiness and eternal freedom will prevail. Here we have left behind the rational materialistic mindset and entered into the world of creativity and intuition, which is free of Fear, worry, confusion and stress. At ease with this new state of mind one can continue the path to one’s inner enlightenment. Continuing to gather knowledge about all things, putting together the building blocks, striving to complete the immense puzzle of it all, developing their potential to the best of their abilities. The search may well go on for years, in peace and tranquility until the end of one’s days in this physical reality. However the comfort and joy that is achieved on this path can be overwhelming as one discovers one’s true potential, life becomes so much more enjoyable. Whilst the others that had not awakened at any point or had abandoned their path of fulfillment remain ignorant and unaware of their true potential that lies within themselves and hence stay unconnected from the universal mind and natural potentials of the cosmic energies available to each and every one of us.

The path can be long, the search can be arduous but the benefits are definitely worthwhile. In my case my path so far has been 25 years in search of fulfillment. In that time I have learnt to detach from the stresses of running a business and the fear of losing the material possession that came along with it. Through meditation and intuitive contemplation I found peace and resolved the conflicts of gained knowledge along the path. I found myself and experienced the reality of Oneness. Most of all I arrived to the true understanding that everything in this physical existence came from one source, therefore all material things and living beings are truly interconnected. One can experience Unconditional Love, a Light connection with the All that is and the sense of the All that has been onto ultimately the realm of The all that will be. This later realm opens the doors to further self-understandings and knowledge of one’s true potential. The potential to be involved in the cosmic order of things. The profound realization that as one is very much a speck of the bigger cosmic picture, that one can use their conscious mind to influence The all that will be. One thing I have been able to conclude is that the past may well be the past, but it always effects the present. The present, the here and now however will always effect the future, which makes the NOW a powerful tool to shape things to come. So Life is definitely about living in the NOW. Whilst the now is influenced by the past, we must realize therefore that the future is influenced by the now. Hence the concept of time is surely a classroom that beckons for a change in the lessons of one’s life journey.

Life is all about making changes as nothing stands still in anyone’s progressive life. The universe continues to expand, so should we, expand upon the lessons learnt throughout our lifetime. Life does not have to be a continual cycle of ups and downs or a fear bound existence. Whilst it may appear that we all live our lives as individual physical beings as fish swimming around in the confined limitations of our personal Goldfish bowls. There is the potential to jump out of the cycle and take control of our own destiny in the physical world. We were given the gift of life to procreate in everyway that includes creating our own living reality. Each and everyone, has the potential to change their reality. It is all in the Mind, Life is an illusion, nothing is truly what it seems. It is unfortunate but often it takes a trauma for us to realize there is more to life than meets the eye.

My path began after having a series of disturbing out of body experiences. The first was a most frightening experience. Falling asleep one night I awoke paralyzed, my eyes wide-awake I called out for help, shouting at the top of my voice as the fear and shock overcame me. After some time I calmed myself and felt myself floating upwards, I began to struggle not realizing what was happening, suddenly I turned around 180 degrees. I recall to this day the shock and disbelief of what confronted my eyes in that split moment. Myself, I was face to face with my self!! At this point I awoke for real and reviewed this most frightening experience, as many would, I concluded for my ease that it was just a vivid bad dream. However it ignited my curiosity and I began investigating
