About this ebook

In this groundbreaking book, Michelle draws from such diverse fields as biology, mythology, energy medicine, and the spiritual traditions. While bravely sharing her own process, she weaves a tapestry both poetic and practical. Becoming Sacred Space is a primer to help us realign to our inner truth, reconnect to our deep resources, and bring forth the sustainable and vibrant Selves that our beloved planet needs us to be in this time of transformation.

By attuning to the archetypes and integrating their wisdom, we as a species can come back into balance with the greater ecological system. Some of the shifts in understanding of these timeless stories have altered the way the energy manifests. By reconnecting directly to these sources, we can update the Message in its living form within us and our actions in the world will reflect this new, yet never forgotten, truth of our being.

To all my teachers, healers, and allies

    on this journey into myself

When you can lovingly recognize yourself as your own creation, you free yourself from the trance of powerless living. You must live your life with clear boundaries and distinctions, applying great discernment and discrimination of mind to all you encounter. In addition, you must learn to honestly and openly express your feelings and emphasize your own self-worth as you learn to develop a true love for who you are… When you feel genuine love for yourself, you are connecting with and contributing to the vital life force energy that sustains all of existence, it is the greatest gift you have to offer the world.

I am in deep gratitude to my soul family for seeing me and holding me through it all, and especially to Elizabeth, for being the compassionate voice on the other end of the phone when I most needed it. To Carol, Mary, Soonja, and Laila for helping me see, feel, and understand myself, to Heffer for helping me become embodied again, and awakening me to the path of Bhakti. A deep bow to my mentors and healers Steve and MaryAnn for their ongoing support in becoming more me, and for the Crystal Meditation that awakened this book in/through me. To PCC for helping me find my voice and learn how to use it. To CSS for clearing the channel and midwifing my empowerment. To ICP for reminding me who I am as a practitioner, and for awakening my fire of advocacy. To my students, clients, teachers, and colleagues for mirroring so I could see myself and respond from that place of deep Truth. To Hay House for inspiring me and showing me what’s possible. To my team at Balboa for getting the Message out as I am being birthed anew into the world. To Audra, who saw the vision and supported me in manifesting it. To myself, for being vulnerable, for sharing openly and deeply, for showing up, and for taking the risks to be in Service to this Message. Paying homage to all the Seen and Unseen teachers and Guides, this content comes through me and resonates with many paths- cosmology, depth psychology, integrative medicine, mysticism- but it is also uniquely my perspective and how the material has been distilled through my cells and soul karma. Thank you for holding space for me to share.

    Preface

My relationship with the Divine is as essential as I am to myself and to all things. It is in me, it is me, and it cannot be separated from me, just as we are all connected from this shared Source. It is not a Being out there somewhere, but a flowing breath and energy of life itself… I AM THAT. I am also paradoxically and simultaneously living out my life within the realm of natural law, and this sacred dance between unitive and multiplicative, subtle and manifest, is where I live/work/play.

My spirituality is rich and deep, and constantly evolving in step
