Bonnie Jean Holmes

My name is Bonnie Jean Holmes. I grew up in a small town in California. In 1993, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Education, and taught sixth and seventh grades for fifteen years. I was blessed in 2002 and married my soul mate, Rick, and we joined our families together. We have four grown children and nine grandkids. Following the Lords leading, we moved to the state of Washington in 2008. My career allows me to share Gods love through photography, gardening, and of course, baking. I love trying new recipes. I have spent most of my adult life baking and cooking for my family, my students, and my church. Many of these recipes have been handed down to me and are favorites of my friends and family. And now I’d like to pass them on to you so…. Enjoy!!!

Sharing. It is a basic biblical truth that we learn to follow.

We share many things with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

    Romans 12:13

Paul taught that we should share our gifts and talents with those around us.

He got that thought from Jesus who stated:

But I am among you as One who serves.

    Luke 22:27

Jesus is our example of how to treat others. We are to serve. I want to serve.

So I share my favorite, simple sweet treats that are easy to make,

Yet bring big smiles to those you chose to bless with your gift.

I pray that you are blessed by the recipes in this book, and that you have

the opportunity to bless others with your sweet gifts.

Some of these recipes are not my own creation. I have been making them for a number of years so the original baker remains unknown. I also may have made some changes in the original recipe and made it to fit
