INTRODUCTION

ON OUR FIRST night in the backwoods of Germany around midnight. Corporal Leurquin crawled into his half of the shelter and got into his sleeping bag. Just as he was about to nod off, the Marine in the other half said, I’ve been waiting to talk to you. After what happened in Copenhagen, I know you’re a Christian and I need your help!

Joseph Leurquin knows that sexual temptation is a real and present danger to some extent for everyone. This is not the only danger that people who have a desire to live a life of sexual integrity face. There are people waiting to attack you. Sadly Joseph has found that the most vile attacks come from people who profess to be Christians.

These attacks can take place in the military, on the job, at schools of higher learning, yes even Christian schools, high school. Some attacks are waged by Christians who attend the same church.

Joseph Leurquin believes that the knowledge he shares in Sexual Integrity by the Book will help Christians to better deal with the temptations they’ll face. Joseph has also seen this knowledge turn back those who attack.

It is Joseph Leurquin’s prayer that those who read Sexual Integrity by the Book will be exhorted to continue to live a life pleasing and honoring to God.

CHAPTER 1

Helping others

JUDE: V22 AND of some have compassion, making a difference v23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire… .

On our first night in the backwoods of Germany around midnight. I crawled into my half of the shelter and got into my sleeping bag. Just as I was about to nod off, the Marine in the other half said, I’ve been waiting to talk to you. After what happened in Copenhagen, I know you’re a Christian and I need your help!

If it’s a spiritual problem perhaps you should talk to the Chaplain!, I replied.

I did!, he said.

What did he say?

He said the Chaplain told him, You know what the right thing to do is. So keep doing it!.

Now curious, I asked, So what’s the problem?

I almost gave in to having sex with a prostitute and I need some help because I’m afraid I might give in at our next port of call.

I could hear the desperation in his voice. What he was asking for was more knowledge. I wasn’t sure what to tell him. However I knew Who to ask. Stalling for time while I prayed, I told him to tell me about his wife and family. While I was praying, he told me that his wife was pregnant with their first child.

Silently I prayed, "Lord, God, I know you hear this man’s honest desire to be faithful to his wife. Oh, Lord
