CONCLUSION
PREFACE
Hello friend, I’d like to extend my warmest greetings and congratulate you on taking the first step to rebuilding your credit
, improving your life
and achieving your dreams
! If your goal is to improve your financial situation significantly, (which I believe it is or you wouldn’t have purchased this book), I can personally guarantee you that you will if you follow the steps outlined in this material. I can extend this guarantee because I’ve personally used this process to repair and rebuild my own credit. I went from a below 460 credit score along with judgements, collections, inquiries, late pays, you name it, to an over 700 credit score in a matter of months.
I can also empathize with anyone in the same situation. My credit profile was most certainly in the proverbial toilet
due to life situations that most of us encounter, mine happened to be the result of an ugly divorce. I’m happy to report that not only did I survive the divorce but in the process of picking up the pieces of my life I met the love of my life who was also in the very same situation. Together we inspired and consoled one another, took our rugrats from the failed marriages (at the time he had a 12year old and 9year old son, I had a 5year old daughter and 3year old son) and rebuilt our lives. I’m also happy to report that we’re the happiest that we’ve ever been and currently have a 14year old daughter together. (We call her our love child
)
I’m sharing these intimate details of my life so that you’ll understand why we’re doing what we do. It was because of this life experience that my husband and I decided to publish this manual. We know what it feels like to be treated inferior to others with better credit because we’ve been there. From being turned down for housing when we desperately needed it for our children, to being turned down for jobs when we desperately needed it for our children. However, as the old saying goes take lemons and make lemonade
and that’s exactly what we did. In hindsight we are now grateful that we had the experience because we wouldn’t have learned how to rebuild our credit profiles and achieve what we have so far. We went from credit scores in the toilet, denials for housing, jobs, credit cards and car loans to over 700 credit scores, purchasing several homes as primary residences and investment properties!... and you can do the same!
We were so successful at rebuilding our credit
, improving our lives
and achieving our dreams
that we decided to help others do the same by becoming full-time professional real estate consultants so that we could help others realize the American Dream
of homeownership. As licensed real estate consultants we have helped literally hundreds of people get into homes by educating them on credit and rebuilding their personal credit profile. That being said we discovered that we’d like to help even more folks like yourself, and so here we are.
Before you delve deep into this manual I’d like to inform you that this is not your run of the mill
basic credit repair manual. Our goal has always been to educate people, and once armed with knowledge most often the same folks never encounter the same situation and even if you do you’ll always know the process of rebuilding and can do it over and over again. As the old saying goes Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him forever
. As you read this book and begin to apply the strategies outlined in it you’ll see your life changing before your very eyes! Are You Ready?
As the reader of this book I don’t know you personally and I don’t pretend to know how dire your situation may be due to bad or insufficient credit, however I do know that undue worry will not help the situation at all. Speaking from experience, ‘troubles are a lot like people – they grow bigger if you nurse them’ and I mean this literally. I learned this lesson not long after the divorce that I mentioned to you earlier on. I’ll share my experience in hopes that you can relate. At the time I relied on my ex-husband to pay the bills (huge mistake as he was horribly irresponsible). I was living in Fort Myers, Florida and worked at United Telephone company as an operator. One day when leaving my apartment for work, I entered the parking lot with the keys to my 1989 Suzuki sidekick in hand. The only problem was (you probably guessed it) there was no 1989 Suzuki sidekick there, my very first repossession had taken place. I walked three miles to work in the blistering Florida heat, needless to say very late for work with an irate supervisor waiting on me. She gave me what was called on the job then, ‘an occasion’. Company policy at the time was that if you racked up more than three occasions you were written up and on your way to suspension if not termination. Thus, the beginning of a boiling pot running over! I was a fairly new employee to this company at the time, so needless to say making a good impression was paramount. To get directly to the point, my life at the time was much like a pot always about to boil over (or at least I made it that way in hindsight). I let the pressures of 1) trying to impress a verbally abusive, derisive new boss, 2) trying to raise two young children (one of which is physically handicapped, my 5year old daughter at the time), 3) cope with an irresponsible, unfaithful husband affect my health. I dwelled un-necessarily to long on my problems or challenges I like to say now. It was a real challenge trying to please my new boss and be there for my children when their school called saying they were sick (I know a lot of single mom’s out there can identify with this one). And on top of it all put up with an immature, immoral husband. I used to call him my oldest child because most of his fickled decisions led us to repossessions and evictions. You heard it right, this happened more than once, so you can only imagine what my credit report looked like! Anyway, long story short I left work one day at the request of my supervisor. She told me I looked absolutely terrible, my hair was coming out at this point and she said that I was dressed like a homeless person. That’s when I decided to get a grip on my woes so as to be there for my children and not focus so much on my financial situation. I started to live by a famous author’s words, "Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it. ~Mark Twain
I don’t know about you but I can surely testify that there have been so many times especially during that period in my life when I didn’t know how the rent would be paid, how the car would get repaired or even how I would get care for my sick children when I needed to go to work. And somehow things always worked out, an unexpected check or repayment of borrowed funds to pay the rent, a kind neighbor that was mechanically inclined to fix my car far less than a repair shop and then there was always a nurturing mother in the neighborhood that didn’t mind sitting with my children when they were sick. So please don’t worry about your present circumstances, through your own efforts and prayer you will always get through.
If I knew then what I know now I would not have spent one day, no not even one minute worrying about debt or credit, because in my mind I thought this was something I would have to struggle with for many years to come, however the situation is quite the contrary. There is a specific process that if followed diligently can shorten a financial situation similar to the one I had within months. Since learning this process, it has changed my life more than I can speak in volumes, it is true of the Chinese proverb Learning is a treasure that will follow it’s owner everywhere
. Again, I’m sharing these things with you in an effort to set your mind at ease.
