During the 18th Century, or the 1700s, gentlemen wore ‘Three Piece Suits’, consisting of a coat, a vest, and breeches.
1700s Late Collage of Gentlemen’s Suits.
Luxurious fabrics, elaborate metal trims, and silver and gold embroidery were all used to decorate these gentlemen's three piece suits which were worn to court and on social occasions by the nobility to demonstrate their wealth and enhanced social status.
