Descrizione

In this book, Jack Falworth draws upon his own personal knowledge, as well as extensive research, to present a detailed account of prostitution in Indonesia. Much of the book is devoted to describing prostitution in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, but attention is also given to prostitution in other parts of Indonesia.
Like all professions, prostitution has its own hierarchy, and in Indonesia the highest class are the celebrity prostitutes—film actresses, pop singers and adult magazine models—who charge thousands of dollars for their sexual favors.
The other classes in more or less descending order are: (a) "campus chicks" (female college students who moonlight as prostitutes); (b) singers, dancers and lady companions in nightlife venues; (c) massage parlor girls; and (d) street hookers.
As well as dealing with the different classes of prostitute, the book also devotes various chapters to describing ritual prostitution in Central Java, online prostitution, and prostitution on the tourist islands of Bali and Batam.
One of the most interesting chapters tells of prostitution in Aceh, the only Indonesian province to be subject to Islamic sharia law. In Aceh, prostitutes are punished by being savagely whipped in front of large crowds of cheering spectators.

Informazioni sull'autore

My name is Jack Falworth and I am fascinated by erotica. Over the years, I have written dozens of erotic stories in my spare time for my own amusement, but it is only recently that I have decided to publish the products of my sex-crazed imagination.I do not aspire to be a 'literary author', and I have, in fact, little respect for so-called literary novels or literary prizes. I consider that the erotic impulse is the most basic of all human impulses, and that it is only works of erotica that fully acknowledge and explore the many diverse facets of this impulse. My first published novel was 'From Virgin to Porn Star', and I have since published several other erotic works. I prefer writing long stories with strong plot lines, and I am constantly seeking new ideas for my stories.I am currently at various stages of developing plots for a number of erotic novels, which I intend to release at regular intervals. Hopefully, these novels will be well received by lovers of erotica.

FOREWORD

Prostitution in Indonesia is the first of a series of factual books that I plan to write about prostitution. The current volume describes modern day prostitution in Indonesia, focusing mostly upon recent events. A historical account of Indonesian prostitution (requiring considerably more research) will follow at a later date.

SUMMARY

Prostitution is rampant in Indonesia, pervading all levels of society. The vast Indonesian archipelago has the largest Muslim population of any country in the world, but many Indonesians openly disregard the strict moral code of Islam that prohibits sexual intercourse outside marriage.

Like all professions, prostitution has its own hierarchy. Indonesian film actresses, pop singers and magazine models engage in lucrative part-time work as high class prostitutes, selling their sexual favors to wealthy clients. Female university students, commonly called campus chicks, also charge high fees for their sexual services, ranking only a little lower in the hierarchy.

The celebrities and campus chicks are mostly well educated and sophisticated, and they do not consider themselves to be common prostitutes. They choose their clients carefully, some accepting only one or two bookings a week. The clandestine activities of these high class prostitutes consequently go largely undetected, and none of them would ever publicly admit to selling their sexual favors.

Modern technological developments have resulted in marked changes to the ways in which prostitutes can solicit clients. Online prostitution has now become common in Indonesia, with many transactions being arranged over the internet. Prostitutes can advertize their services through social media accounts, and there are also a number of very well organized websites that arrange bookings with prostitutes.

Online prostitution has not replaced more traditional forms of prostitution, however. The Indonesian capital, Jakarta, abounds with nightclubs, discotheques, karaoke rooms, spas and massage parlors where sexual services are openly available.

The prostitutes who work in these venues are not only local Indonesian girls, but also foreign girls from such countries as China, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Uzbekistan and Russia. Girls from the latter two countries are especially popular and they can charge twice the fee of the local Indonesian girls.

Prostitution in Jakarta is not limited to the night entertainment venues, however. Street prostitution is prevalent throughout the city, the clients being mostly truck, bus and taxi drivers, as well as manual laborers. Low class prostitutes service these clients in tents and makeshift huts erected beside main roads or beside railway tracks, with few precautions being taken against the spread of venereal diseases.

Prostitution is also rife in the other major towns of Indonesia, as well as on the popular tourist islands of Bali and Batam.

Even though prostitution is widespread in Indonesia, the hold of the Muslim religion on the population is growing stronger with each year, due largely to Saudi Arabia's financing of Indonesian mosques and religious schools.

Hardline Muslims are violently opposed to prostitution and are determined to eliminate it entirely. If history is any guide, their fanatically self-righteous efforts are doomed to failure!

CHAPTER ONE

Celebrity Prostitution in Indonesia

Celebrity prostitution is rife in Indonesia, and many young women who enjoy celebrity status are quite happy to supplement their incomes by selling their sexual favors to wealthy clients who can afford to pay their exorbitant fees. The female celebrities include film and television actresses, pop singers and adult magazine models.

The widespread practice of prostitution among female celebrities in the Indonesian entertainment industry has been well known for many years, but it was most sensationally exposed with the arrest of Robby Abbas, a high class pimp who ran an online prostitution service with over 200 girls on his list, including at least 17 well known celebrities.

Details of the careers of Robby Abbas and some of the female celebrities on his list are provided below.

The Career of a High Class Pimp

Robby Abbas's career as a high class pimp was short but spectacular. Indonesian news media accounts of his career make fascinating reading, providing a very good picture of the extent of celebrity prostitution in Jakarta and other major Indonesian cities.

Robby Abbas was born in about 1984, and is the son of an Indonesian actress, Diana Iskak. At the age of eight years, Robby appeared in one of his mother's films but he did not pursue an acting career. From 2005 onwards, he was employed as a make-up artist, coming into regular contact with a large number of female celebrities.

According to Robby's account, his activities as a pimp commenced in about 2012 when he was approached by a male acquaintance who wanted to
