Walking Between the Raindrops

About this ebook
Walking Between The Raindrops was written over a period of four years. My poetry collection celebrates those who walk with courage in difficult situations as well as highlighting life-changing stories from the Bible. God's plan for mankind is revealed in nature through his animals like the eagles and the transformation of the tiny caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly.
I have tried to reveal in a tangible form - the reality of God and the consistency of his character. He is seen in all of his creation. His love and desire for mankind to know him is limitless.
Much of the poetry has come out of personal experiences and mistakes people who have come before us have made. Mistakes are to be learned from and not to be repeated. Nevertheless, Our Creator never stops yearning for us to know and believe that he truly exists. He is all around us in every situation and event. He longs to be personally acquained with each of us. This is the message I have tried to convey through my poems.

This book is dedicated to my sister, Nancy Ann Trombley whose encouragement has remained steadfast and to my mother, Sarah Ann Vose Pappas who has listened patiently to every poem as well as often telling me to walk between the raindrops. A final dedication is warmly sent to all those who read the words of this book. May you know, believe and trust in the One who has the ability, not only to walk on water, but also to walk between the raindrops.

Acknowledgements
I would like to specifically mention Terri Petro-Roy who patiently guided me through the technical process needed to submit my manuscript. I also want to give my special thanks to Pastor Cindy Sadler whose teaching inspired me to write some of the poems I shared with her and who also encouraged me to publish. I am very grateful to my neighbor, Chuck Foster, who was drawn to the Lord through my poetry and who encouraged me to publish. He passed away in 2006, but not before he received Jesus, as his Savior and Lord.
Above all, I would like to acknowledge the constant presence and inspiration I have received from my Lord and Savior, without which this book could never have been written.

Eagles Dare
Eagles dare to fly straight into the eye of the storm
They cleverly wait till it’s wild and torn
Defying nature herself;
God has made them brave
Eagles dare to soar high above treetops
Wings spread so majestically -
Catching every breath of wind
Privileged to ride that heavenly express
Eagles dare to train their children in the way they should go
Upon their wings they bear the young -
Letting them fall knowing they will be there to catch them;
Instinctively they teach them how to survive
Eagles dare to challenge the unknown
Surprised by
