    About the Author

    Jean Marie Rusin Books

This is my story it began in March 1921 when I was born in RADOM, Poland. My story begins like this. My name is WLADYSLAW.

When I was young my mama died, and I stay with my aunt and my father left us with her.

It seems like my papa left for a long time. But when my papa came back he had a new wife and I had a step mother.

Also I had some step brothers and sisters.

Also I have worked on the farm with my family.

But also I went to school up to the fourth grade, and I knew how to read and write in Polish.

But at that time, I didn’t know that Poland was invades by Germany. Ands the Germans march into Poland.

But now I was a teenager boy and the Germans would looks for workers for the labor camp and farms of Germany.

But one day a truck drove up to my house and Germans soldiers came out of the truck and they came to the door.

But I looked out and they had many peoples in the truck.

Also that day I didn’t know that I was going to leave my home, and never would come back.

They banged at the door and my papa answered the door and they walked in and spoke in the German Language.

But we couldn’t understand what they were saying.

About ten minutes later I was on the truck and I didn’t know where I was going.

But my home was the last thing that I saw, until we got to the train station in Poland.

But I didn’t know where I was going would I die that night!

My fate was unknown, and the rest of the peoples with me.

The Germans soldiers, shooting at the peoples and kick them and shooting at them.

At that time, if you would disable you would have been killed.

Also I heard that a lot peoples were tested and then killed.

So went we arrival at the train station, they told us to get into the cattle car, and we walks inside, and then they gave us some water and some bread to share.

Because we didn’t know when our next meal would be again!

So the train left the station and our designation was unknown.

After the long journey on the train, the train stop and we all had to get off the train.

But the Germans told us to get into two lines.

Well one line was going to work at the farm, and the second one was going to labor camps.

But I have ended up going to the farm.

Once again they took us into trucks and drove us to the country side of Germany.

Then when we arrival, we alls had to get off the truck and go toward the farmer.

We stood in line and we didn’t know what will happen next.

Then they took us to our rooms, and we were told that our work would be at daylight and until dusk.

But the farmer told in German, and I didn’t know understand was he was saying.

Time when by and sirens when off and we had to go into bunkers.

When the rockets fell, the whole place lit up.

That’s you could find a pin.

But a lot of my friends died during the war.

When you walk you saw body parts all around you!

Also you had to watch your steps where you walk because you could walk on a mine, and you would blow up.

Well I should mention the time when I left the farm and when into town and met a German Girl and we when to see the movie and then after the movie I got caught by German Soldiers and I was punish for seeing a German Girl.

Well they beat up and they whip me for days, and they start to say, tells us the truth, and I told them I didn’t have anything with that’s girl.

But days and days I got whip and I thought that I was going too died.

They whipped me for three weeks and I was in bad condition and I also lost a lot of weighted.

There were days that I thought I would have died, but somehow I survive.

But meanwhile my farmer was looking for me, and he did find me.

The day that he found me, I got new clean clothes and nice bath.

The day that I left that place, my farmer carried me to the truck, I was too weak to walks.

When we arrival to the farm, I know that I would be alive and telling this story to you!!!

Well the farmer put on the bed and started to feed me, but told me not to eat too much or too fast.

Because I still could have died.

Ands my farmer was a good man, and it was about five month and then I was back on the field working on the farm.

But every morning he fed me, and each day I got stronger.

Also I heard stories about peoples running on to the Russia side and they were
