Wow after reading this book, it made me realize how important sleep is. I used to sleep very late but I think now will change that bad habit. I love this book! As a life-long poor sleeper, I've read dozens of books that supposedly held the answer to solving my sleep problems. None have, until now. The author not only gives you lots of ideas on how to get a better night's sleep, he tells you why it's so important to get in your nightly 8 hours. Who knew there were so many areas of life impacted by sleep, particularly the lack of it! There is a lot of information here, all of which I found very interesting and quite helpful. At the end of the book he lists a number of ideas that you can put into use immediately. I have seen a great improvement in the quality and amount of sleep I'm getting now, so I feel very comfortable about recommending this book.

I give another 5 star for this book because of being realiable and informative. It completely explains the significance of sleep to one's well-being. It emphasized the benefits of getting proper sleep and the harmful effects of sleep deprivation. It also tackles the activities that happens in the body when a person sleeps like dreaming. Lastly, what I like about this is how he encouraged the readers to utilize the advancement of today's technology so we can benefit from it.
  • (4/5)
A book about sleep with surprising insight and perspective in detail
  • (5/5)
I’ve been having trouble sleeping for the last few years and now I’m going to have to do something about it, simple as that, because the consequences of not sleeping properly are appalling. Its Worth Reading.
  • (5/5)
This book defeated all the other materials that I have read regarding sleep and how is it important to the human body especially to adults like us. The internet is filled with myths and studies which I am not sure if there are any real scientific basis. I almost believed that adults only need a few hours of sleep. So now I have found the cause of my depreciating mind and body. I am thankful for having read this book because at least it is not to late to make myself healthy again. I will definitely recommend this book to others especially to my love ones. This book changed my sleeping habit. Now I will begin reading the full book because this summarized one got me very interested. I love this material.

Excellent content. Good summary about sleep. I love the book.
  • (5/5)
Seldom would there be a book about sleep. Something which we do everyday but no one thinks about!
  • (5/5)
Intuitively, I always tried to value a good night's sleep. But after reading this book, I realized that I can still improve my routine a lot in search of a healthy and restful sleep. The author is a profound expert on the subject and gives us a real lesson, both on the benefits of a good night's sleep and on the harms of a neglect routine with this precious “health food”. Necessary reading for those seeking a healthy life!
  • (5/5)
The content of the book is great and has really made me understand the importance of sleep.

I've given this book a 5* though on the basis that it is a condensed version of the book, and the author has plenty of other great summaries that allow me to read one per day/two days.
  • (5/5)
I love the book! As a life-long poor sleeper, I've read dozens of books that supposedly held the answer to solving my sleep problems. None have, until now. • (4/5)
Some readers will not appreciate the negative things that the author has to say about caffeine and alcohol. Incidentally, if you think alcohol helps you to sleep you need to see what this book has to say about that.
  • (5/5)
Sleeping 8 hours every night is a must and a nap in the afternoon can help too. A must read.

Concise, informational, organized, easy to read. Although it was written more like a doctoral thesis and less like a book, it has the appeal of a short novel. I gave it only four stars due to its lack of professional references and sub par academic style.
