There's a storyline, but it reads like a first draft with no editing whatsoever. Ideas that were never refined.

Chapter One

Ariol

The doctors told me what I didn’t want to hear.

The nurses were sympathetic and made sure I had enough tissues to cry out on. As an Omega, I was supposed to be able to bear children for my alpha. Make him happy and joyful. Now I couldn’t think about even getting one…

I was a failure. The title Omega did not belong to me anymore despite my DNA. I slumped out of the doctor’s office with a prescription note in my hand for some medication. But it was a Sunday and Omegas weren’t allowed to do pharmacy runs on a Sunday unless it was an emergency.

Nurses held their heads down as I drifted by them to the exit of the Omega Clinic. As I walked through the waiting room I saw Omega’s with full bellies and expecting parents. I envied them. They had something I never would get… a family.

My gut churned with a burning sorrow that didn’t go away. There had to be something to numb me. I couldn’t wait for Monday to roll around to feel somewhat normal again.

I’m just a sterile Omega, I sighed under a broken voice dampened with sadness. The paper in my hand had my diagnosis written out in a painfully long explanation.

I didn’t need all the details. I just needed the words, ‘you can’t have children’. That was all…

What am I to do with myself? Am I cursed?

Tears welled up in my eyes and my hands had begun to quiver. I smashed the paper under my feet and left it in the dirt to soil and rot away. Carrying around that dreadful news wasn’t going to help me anytime soon.

Babies, I wanted babies. Forget the Alpha, that I could do without. But there was something to being a parent, loving and nurturing a small pint sized life that came out of you.

And that life… loving you back.

My chest dragged down my body as I dragged my feet to the closest liquor store.

Yes, vodka would be a good mind numbing drink. Something to wash away the feelings, to wash away the awareness of existence as it was.

The inside of the liquor store invited me with a warm musky smell of alcohol. The rows of whiskeys and wines glimmered under the soft light, begging to be bought.

Tears trolled down my cheeks while I perused the aisles, looking for an old friend. That old friend was Viner’s Vodka, something strong enough to knock you out cold.

Good.

I grabbed the bottle and kept my focus on the floor as I walked up to the counter to purchase my escape from this cruel reality.

Do you have identification? the cashier asked
