Dedication

I want to thank you for making it through another year with me. It’s been a busy one, and I unfortunately didn’t have as much time to publish short stories. With that said, I thought it was important to write one that explored the themes of the holidays. I decided not to explore the day, but the mentality of what makes it so special by answering a simple question: what if you’re not home in time for Christmas? I used Planes Trains & Automobiles as a jumping off point for inspiration, along with the more naïve parts of The Florida Project. I hope that you enjoy it and get to spend time this season with loved ones, whether it be on Christmas or two days after, or even three weeks. It’s not when the day is, but what the day is. This story is dedicated to those looking for company during this season. I hope that you get it.
