If you are reading this, I assume you have picked up the book from the shelf. Or downloaded it. Whatever.
At this point, it does look like one of those cookbooks with lots of profanity for people who have never, ever, been inside a kitchen. Well, that's pretty close to the truth, actually, although I will try not to insult you. I do reserve the right to make bad puns.
But let's get back to the food: if your culinary expertise amounts to toasting bread, frying bacon, and calling it a sandwich, then this is the book for you. If you have every take out place in the neighborhood in speed dial, this is the book for you. If you can make a perfectly roasted, beautiful rack of lamb, then you probably have much better things to do.
So, what is going on here? Maybe you invited that cute girl or guy from work over, but you can't tell a chef's knife from a skillet. Perhaps it's your turn to host a dinner party. Or you just want something nice for a change, but getting dressed for a fancy restaurant isn't remotely as cool as blasting your favorite playlist while you cook in your underwear.
