Positive Side of Why Bad Things Happen to Good People - Prophet Jimmy Mack

Introduction
Many of you are experiencing lost that has caused you to question your very existence, but there is something you must understand, Psalm 34:18 says, The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Throughout history when unexpected catastrophe came, the unbeliever quickly states, Where is your loving God now?
Typical of the Devil and spirits of unbelief, St. John 10:10 says, The thief comes not, but for to steal, and kill and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The scriptures clearly declare in Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord deliver him out of them all." When you believe God, you know that His desire is to take you into an inheritance of prosperity and a destiny of success and happiness and wholeness.
God always showed up in history in times of great challenges, in the midst of death and uncertainty. In Genesis 12:1, after the death of Abram’s father Terah, God spoke to Abram, who later became Abraham, and said, leave your kindred and relatives and go into a place that I have already given you. So under great uncertainty, it’s the will of God to take you through your pain and agony to a place of greater destiny. Psalm 30:5 says, "…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
In Genesis 15, God spoke to Abraham again saying, I am your shield and reward, which means I am in front of you and behind you. Abraham could rejoice in that God was with him, but he found out that in the heart of Abraham there was pain because he had no children. Genesis 15 reads, I have no heir, but a servant is my heir.
This is what God did when he saw the brokenness of his heart’s desires. God told Abraham, go outside and look at the stars, and if you can count them, then He said to him, so shall your descendants be (or your children that I shall give you). Genesis 15:6 says, And Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Then God later told Abraham to look around you, this place is specifically what I have given you and your seed (or children).
After many years of slavery and pain, I shall bring them into the promise that I made to you now. In Joshua 1, Moses lead the millions of Abraham’s children to the shores of Canaan and now it was Joshua’s time to divide the inheritance that he promised Abraham. God said in Joshua 1:6-7, be strong and confident because as I was with Moses so shall be with you. God told Joshua, you must meditate in the instruction that’s in the Law of Promises and you will have prosperity and success and fulfill the destiny that was promised to your fathers of faith.
Regardless of what you have suffered, you must acknowledge the fact that you survived and you must have resolve and know you must go forward and allow God’s positives to lead you to your appointed destiny. This is the positive side of why bad things happen to good people. Hebrews 10:36 says, For ye have need of patience, after ye have done the will of God ye might receive the promise.
Forget your yesterdays and press to receive the fullness of your destiny.
In the Beginning…
People of all races and nations hurt and feel pain. All bleed and suffer in one form or another. One thing is certain once Adam was driven out of the presence of the Lord his journey became a struggle and the only calm ‘before the storm was in knowing that God holds the storm in his hand. This is the ultimate positive of life to those with a spiritual connection or those who seek that connection. Even God himself gave us his attributes when he created man saying, let us make man in our own images (Genesis 1:26), it’s obvious that other than through dirt or fleshly covering we resemble our Maker and Creator (Genesis 1:27). God created man in his own image. God created male and female. All that we are, all our members are like our Heavenly Father (Psalm 33:18). Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy.
(Psalm 33:18). He that planted the ear, shall he not hear, he that formed the eye shall He not see?
(Psalm 94:9). Zechariah 4:10 says, …they are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth.
When Adam was cast out of the presence of the Lord, this was the beginning of bad things happening in different degrees. After God created male and female, their disobedience separated them from the constant presence of God. The peaceful, restful existence of man and woman changed forever.
I’m sure you remember if you hadn’t read it lately how the serpent Satan or the deceivers he was called, was a jealous angel who wrought havoc in the Garden of Eden and was so cunning he persuaded one third of heaven to join forces with him (Genesis). Eden in Hebrew means pleasure. So Eden was Adam’s home of pleasure. Let’s look closely at Adam’s circumstances. According to history, this place was Mesopotamia, a place of rivers and completeness. This same region is where Abraham dwelled at one time. We must closely examine what caused the imbalance in Paradise. To me, paradise would be a world or place where all bad things were not able to enter. God gave Adam complete dominion and authority over his circumstances, and he had total favor with God. Whatever happened was totally up to Adam. He named all of the animals. Although he named them, I’m sure he also named the fish, flowers and creeping things. All other creation respected Adam and the place of authority that God had placed in his spirit. There was order according to God’s plan until man broke God’s rules through disobedience. Man had fallen out of the glory of God when he allowed the devil to take him on an unrighteous level. He had no death, no fear and no worries as the son of God. Made in his Father’s image, he inherited all creation which was his Father’s to give all that was there except one thing, which was the tree of life that he was forbidden to eat of. What Adam failed to understand was to be one with the Father was the fulfillment of the physical and spiritual completeness. When he turned his back on the truth, he forfeited his inheritance and took on the opposite of life, which was death, uncertainty and being cast out of Paradise because of his disobedience.
So now the first people realized the truth as they began to live without the favor and presence of God. They quickly came to the realization that they needed God to be able to make it through the bad times, and they set out to get the favor of God back in their lives and began seeking Him to keep Him in their midst always! Once God came to commune with man and found him clothed and hiding, the disobedience was exposed along with the culprit, that old serpent the devil that deceived the world (Genesis 21; Revelation 21, 22). Man was cast out, the serpent was transformed from walking with legs to crawling on his belly having to eat dust. The woman’s punishment was to have pain and travail during childbirth. The worse punishment of all was to have to live on the outside of God’s heart. Satan’s temporary punishment was to be cast out of heaven, and he was given the power of Principality of the earth. It’s God’s plan to destroy evil once and for all and to cleanse and pardon His sons and daughters who loved Him in their hearts, and destroy the wicked and unbelieving out of His presence forever (Revelation 21-22). When Cain rose up and slew Abel because his offering was from the heart and Cain’s was not, that was the first tragedy. God cursed Cain when He said your brother’s blood crieth out to me, what have you done? He said am I my brother’s keeper? Yet he was still lying to God. God destined Cain to a life of pain and suffering. Cain had to suffer and God would not allow death to take Cain out for God let him suffer the pain and anguish of His rejections!
God cursed Cain and he was driven away from those who still had a relationship with God. Although death had passed on every man born, man had faith as an antibiotic that they would stay in the presence of God that they might be his sons and daughters Habakkuk 2:4 says, …the just’ shall live by his faith.
Void of faith and obedience, Cain said every man that sees me will slay me. God quickly said, I will put a mark on Cain and whomsoever slayeth him shall suffer many times more than Cain. Cain departed from the household of his father and mother with his family. One thing is obvious, now there is one God, and He is all powerful. The powers and principalities are ordained of Him. In the world, you have a good spirit which is God’s spirit, and you have the evil or bad spirit that is of Satan. When God created man, He gave him a portion of faith. Now it’s up to him or her to direct that to God to attract the aroma and presence of Him in your midst, or you will have to combat chance and circumstance as you would a sickness or disease without an antibiotic or medicine. Many people find themselves mad when turmoil comes into their life and they blame God as if it’s His fault, but they fail to realize that most of their life they didn’t even tell God good morning. As soon as trouble comes, it’s God’s fault? There is no way that a person could use Cain’s excuse Am I my brother’s keeper?
I can’t survive by some tragedy someone will take my life. God frankly let him know that I put a mark upon you and you will not die. There’s a fact that my mother used to quote God will never put more on you than you can bear.
Paul wrote Romans 5:3, …tribulation worketh patience.
Basically, if you are a believer and a person who is walking by faith and not be sight, when persecution comes, it leads to the person to have patience in the journey until it’s over, and he or she inherits life eternal again with God.
John 11: 25 reads, …he that believeth in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live.
Throughout history, God’s ear was always open to the prayers of His people. After the falling away of mankind, in Genesis, some of the sons of God began to marry the daughters of men. This ultimately meant that many of these people seemed to be descendants of Cain having his unrighteous nature and heart. They would commit idolatry by serving others gods and going after those who were sorcerers, witches, and served and worshiped the devil. They killed the prophets who prophesied against them and caused many of the faith to sacrifice their children unto idols of gold and silver made in the images of animals or names of devils.
Men took wood and made a fire and with the remainder of wood made a god to bow down to. Having eyes, they could not see, ears but they could not hear and hands and legs, but could not move. The land was filled with the blood of the innocent children sacrificed to demons and devils. When God looked down from heaven, He said, my spirit shall not always abide in man and God repented that He had made man. God always gave man a choice to serve Him, so the blessings of God would abide upon his life but He said, choose you this day who you will serve; either God or man or Satan himself. But God specifically let man know you can’t serve two masters.
The worst thing a person can try to do was to serve God and man. Many people take exception to certain people thinking that if a certain person says it is, it must be true. When Jesus looked at the Pharisees or Sadducees the self-righteous church people who tried to make little or condemn God for allowing him to open the eyes of the blind or healing the same man that who at the pool of Siloam on the Sabbath day. Jesus let them know the devil or The thief cometh not but for to steal, kill, and destroy: I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly
( John 10:10). Many times as Jesus walked, He had compassion on the sick, suffering and dying. The woman with the issue of blood said within herself, if I could but touch the helm of His garment, I know I will be made whole. As she was compelled by others to leave and not go after Him, she disregarded the unbelievers who were throwing stones and realized she had two options. First, she had spent all her two options. Second, she had spent all her money with doctors and her bleeding worsened. But, in her heart, she knew if she believed God, He would do the impossible for her. Jesus taught, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, be plucked up by the root and be thou cast into the sea and doubt not in your heart it shall obey you (Matthew 17:20). So through faith, she pressed on and touched His robe and fell back on the ground. Jesus turned proclaiming somebody touched me, because He felt the virtue go out of Him. The woman proclaimed it was me. He turned in the midst of the stoning woman and said, be not afraid your faith hath made you whole (Matthew 9:20-22).
Shortly, after man started on life’s journey, two groups of people began to come. Because of so much evil in the world, the life expectancy began to shorten. God had commanded Adam and his children to go and multiply and replenish the earth. After the first murder of Abel, Eve had another son Seth, and after Seth, the sons of God began to call upon the true God with all their hearts. It seemed the more the sons of God began to call on God, the evil followers searched for ways to stop or deceive them. Satan and his demons didn’t have to do much to deceive man. God said, I’ll shorten time or if it were possible even the elect of God will be deceived. When many believers started to suffer and were vexed by who that held them captive, then again they cried out to God and He delivered them out of their troubles. However, they flattered Him with lies because their hearts weren’t right. Shortly, after they were free of their sorrows, they soon forgot about the promises of God they had made to Him and returned to their wicked ways. Don’t misunderstand me, not every time is trouble the result because a person has disobeyed God. David declared, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
(Psalm 23). A good shepherd goes before his sheep, and in case of trouble, he comforts me, takes me up in his arms, quiets the storm, makes everything back normal, and never leaves you.
David declares, He restores my soul, in other words, when he went through the valley and the shadow of death, the presence of God was there and prevented death from seizing him. Although the untimely tragedies of life hit him and he had no clue they were coming, his Heavenly Father watches over him and protects him from unknown troubles.
Although without Him being present (his invisible protector), he probably would not have survived, but since He never sleeps nor gets tired, and omnipresent, He is with you always. If you believe Him, how could you not benefit from believing in Him with all your heart? Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives our inequities; who healeth our diseases.
Time and time again, the majority of the faithful turned to pagan worship that caused prostitution during worship of idol gods, sacrificing again of children and the innocent until God said enough is enough.
But Noah found grace with God. God spoke to Noah (Genesis 6) and said, build Me an ark to the saving of you and your wife, your sons and their wives and the animals, birds and all life for I shall destroy all other flesh that I have made. Noah preached as he
