      The Housewife

      Every neighborhood in America has one.  She enjoys her morning coffee on the patio. She walks her kids to the bus in her robe and pajamas.  You can even find her gardening at any time during the day as if she has nothing else to do. Who is she? A stay at home mom, raising kids, while everyone else rushes to leave their driveways each morning to go to work.

      I was just like one of those rat racers. Leaving as soon as the Sun came up and coming home hours after it went down. I was in the Real Estate business for a while, until the economy collapsed.  Every morning I would awake doing my same routine; getting the kids ready for school, and fixing their lunch.  After the collapse, I decided to stay at home instead of seeking a new job right away to spend more time with my children.

      Mrs. Bey was a neighbor of mines who lived right across the street from me.  I noticed every morning she did the same routine, get the kids off to school and come home to relax.  Everyone I knew was having a hard time with this recession except Mrs. Bey. The economy didn’t seem to bother her as I observed her several times shopping at the local designer stores, getting her hair done on a weekly basis, and lounging outside in her beautifully manicured yard with her lovely new patio furniture.

      I ran into her while treating myself to a much deserved spa day. I stopped to talk to her for a moment, as I am usually in a rush, but this time I was a little early for my appointment.
