    Hypertension or high blood pressure is the number one killer worldwide.  It is a disease of pandemic proportion, affecting more and more people worldwide. Hypertension is the number one cause of heart attack and stroke, and it’s poorly controlled worldwide.

    Recent World Health Report by World Health Organization (WHO) gives us an alarming information, it says Overall, approximately 20% of the world’s adults are estimated to have hypertension. The prevalence dramatically increases in patients older than 60 years: In many countries, 50% of individuals in this age group (60+) have hypertension. Worldwide, approximately 1 billion people have hypertension, contributing to more than 7.1 million deaths per year.

    Now the good news.

    Hypertension or high blood pressure is very easy to keep in control. And with proper control, it’s a normal condition. You don't need expensive programs, a lot of medicine or a big chunk of your time to keep hypertension in check. Following a simple routine can make it possible.
