Introduction
So you’ve purchased your new Aroma Rice Cooker and you’re looking for some delicious low carb recipes that will fit into your diet plan. This book provides you with some of the best recipes that can be found. Check the ingredients of each recipe to make sure they are compatible with your diet and if they aren’t, substitute what you know will work.
You’ll find that even a child can use a rice cooker! It’s not difficult at all. The only caution when allowing your child to learn to use a rice cooker is when the lid is lifted off the pot. There will be very hot steam that is released and will cause a severe burn. Be cautious and always teach your child to use oven mitts when lifting the lid.
Any ingredient that does not fit into you low-carb, paleo diet can be substituted for a different ingredient of your preference. The easiest way to know what will work best is to look it up online, unless you already know what to use from previous experience with altering recipes. One useful tip is to use kosher salt instead of regular salt, as it dissolves easily. If you choose to follow this tip, use half of what is called for in the recipe. You can use broths, juices, coconut milk or stock instead of water if you want a more flavorful taste. You can also use bouillon cubes in the many different flavors available.
Rice is an extremely nutritious food. It’s not easy to cook and many people are unable to cook it correctly. Using a rice cooker is a wonderful way to get around that problem!
Here are the general instructions for using a rice cooker:
1.Pour a cup of rice into the inner pot of your cooker.
2.Add water according to the fill level mentioned in the guide book.
3.Add any vegetables, spices and herbs you desire.
4.Put the inner pot in the cooker and cover.
5.Turn the cooker on.
6.Leave to cook.
7.The rice cooker will stop on its own and switch to warming mode.
8.Wait ten minutes.
9.Remove, stir and serve.
Rice cookers can cook all types of rice, including long grain, brown rice and short grain, among others. Wild rice and basmati come out perfectly with an Aroma rice cooker. Remember that the water and rice ratio must be correct. This is the key to the rice coming out right.
You may want to use filtered water to get the best flavor possible. Rice cookers were created to cook short-grain white rice originally but work fine with other types. You can also get cookers that have settings for brown rice and other types.
