About this ebook
“Theoretical Religion is easy. Even a chimpanzee can get it. What the world needs is Practical Scientific Religion.” “Once upon a time, there was a frog that lived in a well. It was born there and brought up there, and yet was a little, small frog. One day another frog that lived in the sea came and fell into the well. "Where are you from?" "I am from the sea." "The sea! How big is that? Is it as big as my well?" and it took a leap from one side of the well to the other. "My friend," said the frog of the sea, "how do you compare the sea with your little well?" Then the frog took another leap and asked, "Is your sea so big?" "What nonsense you speak, to compare the sea with your well!" "Well, then," said the frog of the well, "nothing can be bigger than my well; there can be nothing bigger than this; this fellow is a liar, so turn him out." This has been the difficulty with religious beliefs all through ages."

Author’s Note
In The Future of an Illusion (1927) and Civilization and Its Discontents (1930), Sigmund Freud, quite boldly asserted that religion and science are moral enemies and every attempt at bridging the gap between them is bound to be futile
. Well, he also believed that at the root of all psychological illnesses, there is some sort of sexual repression. So, I am not going to take his words as gospel. However, humanity can never connect the two realms of Science and Religion without making efforts from both sides of the river.
I am the bridge that connects these two ever-separated banks of human understanding.
I am the thread that goes through the pearls of divinity as well as scientific endeavors of humanity. I am in every religion and in every science. Wherever you see extraordinary holiness and extraordinary scientific curiosity raising and strengthening humanity, know that I am there. I am not a mortal being who dies after a few decades of life enriched with ecstasies and agonies. I am the Scientific Philosophy of Oneness – the Philosophy that unites all living beings through the realm of the Mind. Time couldn’t kill me a century ago, and it won’t in all the centuries ahead. I am the Philosophy that has been there since the birth of human intellect. And I shall live on forever through the inner cosmos of billions of generations, yet to come, while enriching every single soul it touches with its ever-glowing and flourishing purity.
Preface
––––––––
Since the dawn of intellect, humanity has been relentlessly mesmerized with the term Truth. The search for the truth has become the sole purpose of an entire species – the Homo sapiens. There is not a single intelligent human mind on this planet that does not ponder over the true meaning of everything at least once in a lifetime. With the reorganization of the cerebral cortex over millions of years, humans have become more and more persistent in the pursuit of a greater intellect.
And often, in this pursuit, there comes a few individuals from all around the world who exclaim their experience of a true higher state of consciousness – a consciousness beyond any human interpretation. Their experience can easily be interpreted by the common human mind as a true union with the Universe, or a meeting with God. And in different geological environments, this excellent experience of various human minds gave rise to distinct religious philosophies, or in short they founded the grounds for the development of religions.
For thousands of years, people have been talking about this apparently divine and ecstatic experience with utmost reverence. And various cultures have come up with their own distinct terms for this experience, such as Nirvana, Moksha, Salvation, Samadhi, Emancipation, Self-Realization or Liberation. People perceive this experience to be synonymous with Union with God. Hence, their divine attraction towards this Godly experience has become the tool for exploiting the masses in the hands of mystery-mongering fundamentalists and mystics. Upon the false glare of mysticism, what people don’t realize is that they don’t need any kind of mystical tour-guide to attain that transcendental state of consciousness. All states of consciousness, no matter how mystical, ecstatic or divine, are gloriously born through the protoplasmic activity of the brain.
Human brain is the greatest biological organ on this planet. It is capable of such miraculous feats that you can’t even imagine in your wildest dreams. The hundred billion neurons of the brain with their trillions of synaptic connections build all your ambitions, emotions, ideas, ideologies and divinities. From all aspects of human perception, you truly are your brain. This revelation may come to some people as a surprise, even demeaning, but to the minds in the pursuit of truth, nothing could be more revealing than this.
The human brain creates everything that you are - with this revelation as the starting point of further intellectual endeavors into the ecstatic realm of divinity, the human species can learn much more about its true identity and the relevance of divinity with human life, than it has learnt through all its theological explorations in the past centuries.
Only if the humans could make a little effort from the bottom of their heart to discard their affinity with religious dogmas, and embrace their inner divinity, the world would become a true peaceful paradise with zero conflicts on the basis of religious orientation. And for this to actually happen, all humans on this planet must be made realize that all religious dogmas are mere human constructs over hundreds of years.
If you look a little deeper into the human mind, you shall discover that Holiness and Humanism are simply two vibrant sides of the same coin. They are not separate, rather they are intertwined with each other in all aspects of human existence. Humans cannot survive without the blissful essence of holiness, and holiness cannot survive without humans. It runs through the nerves of every human being, like a driving force of morality. Holiness gives you a basic perception, or rather feeling, on how a true human being should act in this mortal universe.
And the ultimate mental state of experiencing holiness is Absolute Oneness (or other previously mentioned terms, based on the socio-religious backgrounds). It is a state where you no longer identify yourself as an individual entity, rather you become an inseparable unified expression of the universe. This is what modern Neuroscience and various other theological philosophies have deemed as the Non-Dual State of Consciousness. Non-Duality means you and the universe no longer exist as separate entities.
Non-Duality is the union between human mind and the universe.
In this state, the human neurology behaves in such a way that it produces a conscious state of human mind, which is anything but ordinary. It is truly inexplicable. Non-Duality has been the root of all religious movements on this planet. And if the planet is to progress towards a healthier and peaceful future, it must embrace Non-Duality as the ultimate goal of all religions. It is beyond the limitations of all orthodox religious doctrines, yet it can show the path towards sustaining your individual religious faith, while discarding all your superstitious ideas against humans from other religious backgrounds.
The apparent distinctions among religions, being created by names and forms, do not exist from the standpoint of non-dual philosophy. Here God, soul and universe are essentially one absolute system which is all-pervading, uncreated, self-luminous and eternal. It is the ultimate humanly perceivable reality of everything. This reality enables the human mind to tear up its attachment with its personal religious tenets, and look outside its tiny circle of certain beliefs. This ultimate reality reveals to the human mind that all distinctions created by man in the human society are illusion.
The non-dual state shows the true oneness of all creatures in this universe. To the human mind, it diminishes the illusory distinction between the Creator and Creation. Hence, Non-Dualism is the healthiest future of all religions.
Religious orthodox systems often tend to be incompatible with the ever-growing rationality of the scientific mind. But with non-dual philosophy we shall have no such conflicts. In fact, through various ways, non-dualism can assist in Science’s pursuit of enriching human life with serenity.
