    It is August, time for roster cuts in the NFL. Tim Tebow and his New England Patriots teammates are understandably tense. After long stretches of training and incredibly hard work, some of the guys in the locker room are going to be heading home with nothing but the memory of near-success. Tebow is his usual self-humble, hopeful and encouraging. He moves back and forth, hugging friends that have been cut, letting everyone know that there is a plan to make things work at the end. The player is well aware of his fallibility at this point but simply hopes for the best.

    The signs are encouraging for Tim at this point. He is just off the back of a 28-20 drubbing of the New York Giants, and for the man himself, that wasn’t such a bad game. Not the best game of his career, but nevertheless a game in which he thought he had performed ably and gelled well with the rest of the team. Guys are getting cut left, right and center. Tebow gets lulled into a sense of security that comes with delayed NLF cuts. In addition to that, all signs from the coach and the franchise owner are pretty good.

    Then disaster strikes

    Bill Belichick, the coach at New England Patriots calls Tim to the training facilities, and the quarterback knows that things are going down a rabbit hole, and fast. The coach and his assistants spend a few minutes explaining why Tebow doesn’t fit in with the rest of the team. There are no solid statements, just the blanket explanations that 'you didn’t make the cut'. It is part of a pattern of events that the player does not like at all. In 2012,the Broncos dropped
