    Flowers and Lessons

Dandy Lion opened his eyes and began to smile right away.

    Why was he smiling?

He was smiling because it was sunny out and every flower loved the sun. It helped them grow and made them strong.

Dandy spread out his leaves and waited for the warmth to surround him as he felt the sun giving him life. It felt so good he did not want it to ever stop. As he was soaking up the powerful sunshine’s rays Dandy looked down at his roots. He began to wonder if maybe he had the strongest roots in the park. Maybe even the strongest roots in the world.

The thought excited him causing him to jump up and start running as fast as he could. His long roots were just a blur as he ran faster and faster. His leaves were pumping up and down as he leaned forward trying to gain just a little more speed. In no time at all he was across the park.
