About this ebook

My life ended five years ago. An accident took away my ability to give a dominant shifter pups. Male Omegas exist to be bred. I’m broken, unfixable. Even my match making agency nearly gives up on me, until they found Mac Rogers.

Single father, lone Alpha wolf, Mac’s also a domineering control freak, but I like giving up control to the right man. He says he doesn’t care what I lack. All he wants is my purity and my body, but I suspect what he desires is my heart. Am I ready to give it away?

The characters names got mixed up a few times and I’d have liked more detail on Graham’s tragic backstory, it was so bad sounding but not touched at all. Otherwise a decent read

Broken Omega - Haylee Wolf

Prologue

Five Years Ago

Drive safe. Okay, baby? Graham Larson cautioned, pulling Dusty into one last hug. Radio says the roads are slippery.

In the comfort and warmth of his mate’s arms, Dusty barely processed Graham’s words. Well, technically it was too early to call Graham yet. At eighteen, most humans their age wouldn’t be thinking of settling down. They were werewolves though. As a male Omega capable of bearing another dominant shifter pups, Dusty had been promised by his father to Graham since birth.

Most Omegas would balk at being paired off with the Alpha’s son and future Alpha of the pack. Fortunately, Graham wasn’t like his bullish father. Oh, Dusty was certain Graham could lead. At eighteen, Graham bested any werewolf who challenged his position. Graham laid out the rules to Dusty the first time they met.

Be friends first. Figure out the other complicated stuff later.

Something a cocky young man would say, but they were no teens. They were both adults now. Dusty and Graham knew each other inside out. There was no other man for Dusty. Graham was his future.

His best friend would be his husband. How lucky could Dusty be? And in a month’s time, Dusty would be walking down the aisle, ready to say ‘I do’ and finally let this wonderful man, this Alpha, mate him.

On second thought, Graham mused, eying him. I should drive you home.

There’s no need for that, Dusty answered quickly. You need to meet your dad, remember? You said everyone’s waiting for you.

Graham frowned. Following his line of sight, Dusty saw the clumps of snow falling on the street. A quick look to his wrist watch—the watch Graham gave him for Christmas, read it was past midnight. Most folks in town were in bed, in their homes, preferring the comfort of indoors to out.

Dusty insisted on meeting Graham though. They might be getting in a month’s time, but during the next four weeks, Dusty wouldn’t be able to see his boyfriend. Graham would be visiting the neighboring packs in the region together with his father. To Dusty, twenty-eight days was too long a time apart.

Are you sure? Doubt crept to Graham’s voice.

Hey, remember I’m always the designated driver when we go partying? Dusty reminded him.

Because he knew he might not get the chance for a long while, Dusty rose on tip toe. Knowing what he was up to, Graham pulled him close, taking over. Dusty practically melted from that amazing kiss.

When Graham pulled away, Dusty panted, wanting more.

Graham shook his head. Wait for the wedding, baby. Don’t test me. I’m barely holding onto my control as it is.

The Omega wolf inside Dusty didn’t give a damn about honoring traditions. They were here, alone and together.

Wouldn’t it be easy for Graham to Dusty in the back seat of the car and finally have his way?

Primal emotions to yield and mate consumed Dusty. Oh, Dusty might be a virgin Omega. He’d been saving his purity just so Graham could take it, but that didn’t mean Dusty was naïve. His mother and sisters prepped Dusty for the day of his mating. Dusty knew what happened behind closed doors.

Baby, don’t wreck me, Graham chided, voice thick with lust.

Okay. Graham had a point. Dusty had been saving himself for their mating. He could wait one more month. Graham kissed him again.

Watch the road.

I will. Despite not wanting too, Dusty parted from Graham.

These next few days would be hard without you, Graham said.

Dusty liked that. It’s harder for me.

Why is that? Graham asked.

Because you’ll be to busy meeting new people. Some handsome male Omega might catch your eye and you’ll forget all about me.

Graham chuckled. As if that would ever happen.

Promise me nothing will change between us?

Damn it, but Dusty sounded needy. He’d never been that clingy kind of Omega, but he wished he could fast-forward to a month later. Then he didn’t need to feel like this anymore.

Alright, baby. I promise.

Not wanting to drag this any longer, Dusty got into his car. From behind the wheel, he watched Graham get into his. Long after Graham drove away, he remained there, trying to calm himself down.

Graham ordered him to behave, so he’d do his best. He felt a little silly, making Graham promise something like that. It wasn’t like Graham would change his mind about mating Dusty. Arranged marriages might be medieval to some humans, but it worked fine for some packs. Well, it helped Graham wasn’t a total stranger to Dusty.

Much calmer now, Dusty started the engine. He didn’t want to go home immediately. Once Graham and he married, they would live in together in their own apartment. For now, Dusty remained in the house he grew up in. Oh, he loved his family to bits, but growing up in a werewolf household of females ruffled his fur occasionally.

The moment he walked through the front door, his mom, sisters and even his father might ask him why he sprinted out of the house to meet Graham. They meant well, but Dusty knew how much this match meant to his father. In the past, his father had been exiled by the Yellow River pack for some crime Dusty never found out about.

When Dusty was born, his father was initially disappointed because after four daughters, he wanted a son, a powerful male shifter in the family. He got Dusty instead. Realizing his opportunity to turn things around and mend old fences, Dusty’s father proposed mating Dusty to the Alpha’s son once Graham and Dusty came of age.

Despite the freezing weather, Dusty rolled down his windows and turned on his radio. He cruised past the familiar landmarks of the town, and into the open road. Driving for an hour might clear his head and ease his pain of Graham leaving. Hearing his cell phone beep on the dashboard, Dusty grinned after seeing Graham’s name flashing across the screen.

Miss me already, baby?

Dusty kept one hand on the wheel, while his other
