    Originally, I started selling finished beaded jewelry on Etsy and was overjoyed when folks started buying it. It further developed into finished slippers, more jewelry and a variety of unique collectibles and antiques.Time and life went on and I created a number of unique slippers, texting mitts and jewelry items that no one else was producing. I became a little bored making the same things over and over and finally decided to create my first tutorial on how to make seed bead bracelets. That led me down the road of self publishing. Once bitten by the pattern writing and publishing bug I never looked back.I now have a number of patterns, and more in development published with all the major online retailers including Amazon, iTunes, Barnes & Noble, Indigo/Chapters, and more.Amazing what a chick from the prairies can accomplish with a computer, an Internet connection, a little creativity and dare I say, chutzpa ;-)

      Introduction

      Hand knit slippers are wonderful and it's always nice to receive a pair as a gift; even if it's for yourself! If you are an avid knitter like I am, you can even turn your hobby into a lucrative business and sell what you make either locally or online. Knitting has definitely developed past Grandma sitting in her rocker knitting for the grand kids...

      Over the years I've sold slippers all over the world through online market places. It's been a great opportunity and I love it to this day, but my heart has turned into developing patterns. I've always been a nerdy girl with a creative leaning and couple that with being good at math (yes, knitting is math!) you get a person like me who focuses her skills to a unique pursuit. Tell people you write knitting patterns in your spare time, they look at you strangely. Let 'em look, I say.

      Because I self-publish all my works, I have no restrictions on people selling what they create from my patterns. This is my decision to make and am not bound by publishers to change it. Unlike patterns you'll find elsewhere, I give everyone the opportunity to profit from them. If you want to sell the slippers you make from my patterns, go ahead. I think it's important to share what you create with others. Not everyone knows how to knit or has time to make slippers themselves. If they want slippers and you can make a pair for them, give 'er. If you want to give me a credit in an online listing, like my page on Facebook, or a link to my website KweenBee.com is good enough for me. All I ask is that you don't steal my patterns to republish them either for profit or for free in any medium.
