About this ebook

We typically think of psychics as "special" or "gifted" with unusual abilities. But David Morehouse teaches that all human beings, including you, have the inborn capacity for Remote Viewing—the ability to see across space and time.

With Remote Viewing: The Complete User's Manual for Coordinate Remote Viewing, he presents comprehensive instruction in this scientifically designed method for tapping your ability to transcend your physical senses. By adapting the training he underwent to become an elite "psychic spy," Morehouse has created an accessible step–by–step approach that anyone can use.

"Remote Viewing was created as a means of gathering information," teaches David Morehouse, "but it has proven to be much more." As thousands of his students have discovered, a Remote Viewer actually taps into the collective unconscious that connects everything and everyone in the universe.

Presented in an accessible, logical, and artful manner, here is an unprecedented training manual for learning this profoundly transformational practice, and taking the first step into your ultimate potential. Includes a link to a downloadable 77–minute brainwave entrainment track.

In the movie The Affair of the Necklace, there’s a line of dialogue that says, Honor does not come from a name; it comes from what lives in the heart. I have never forgotten this, and I can never forget the following people, who, with their hearts, guided my work: Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Don Miguel Ruiz, Jorge Luis Delgado, and Dannion Brinkley.

My father, Virgil Morehouse, who passed away during the writing of this book—a career soldier, father, husband, and grandfather—his greatest life lesson to me was to learn to forgive. My beautiful mother, Marba Morehouse, whose perseverance and attitude toward life inspire me still. Roger and Mary DeMartin, for bringing Patty into my life. My brother and sister, Dennis Morehouse and Jennie McCallum, who have been with me through life, with love and support. Glenn and Clydell Cox, Max and Rita Sones, Natha Kitty Davis, and all the family who have inspired perseverance.

My editor, Alice Karow, who tirelessly carved this work from a mountain of material. My publisher, Tami Simon, and the entire staff of Sounds True, for their vision of spirit and opportunity. My friends—I am blessed with far too many to name here—but especially those who played a role in this book:

David Hughes, Mark Waters, Craig and Laura Burness, Michael and Julie Nitty, Sam and Lynn Georges, and Colonel Robert Frank. Theron and Mary Ann Male, Ted and Mary Macy, Mimi Peak, Joanne Chrobot, Michael Craft, Jeff DeMartin, Jason Appleby, Jason Hooper, Joey Cassanova, Stan Evanson, Anne Haritatos, Rommel Lozano, Donn Hopkins, Randall Henderson, John Herlosky, and James O’Brian. Hundreds of other dear and close friends, and, of course, I must recognize the boundless inspiration of over twenty-three thousand students.

The soldiers I have served with, learned from, and been inspired by: GEN Dan McNeil, GEN Fred Woerner, LTG James Dubik, MG Kenneth Leuer, BG Joseph Stringham, BG Mick Bednarek, BG Tony Tata, COL Wesley Taylor, COL Tim Scully, COL Keith Nightingale, LTC Jim Reese, CSM Sam Spears, CSM Larry Allen, CSM David Dalton, COL Sid Head, Chaplain MAJ Tim Walls, SGM Scott Mitten, and CSM Mark Helton. And all those whose ranks I do not know, but for whom I carry the utmost respect: David Hart, Virgil Willoughby, Kevin Connel, Chris Pipes, Doc Donovan, Timothy Hayes, Tom Paschal, Gary Vorous, State Representative (and Ranger) Jack Hennessey, Jeff Greene, Troy VanBeek, and James Williams.

I could not have finished this work without the love and support of my wife, Patty. She was there by my side for six years of my life, watching me in the quiet moments, balancing life amidst the clash of time and being. She never faltered in her belief that I needed to write this book. She maintained that it was the need of humanity to have this work for its use, however significant or not. Patty helped me see through the fog of my existence and perceived obstacles—she is as much responsible for this book as I am.

My publisher, Tami Simon, also lovingly supported me, gently pressed me, and perceptively stood down when she knew I was straining against the tide. Her staff at Sounds True is a committed and focused gathering of purposeful, spirit-minded people, who make me welcome each day and thank God for their presence on this planet. To Nancy Smith, the engineer of all that I do with Sounds True, I give my thanks and respect in appreciation for her tireless devotion to excellence. Nancy’s candor, her spirit, and her focus have made this work possible.

To my children, Michael, Mariah, and Danielle, and my grandson, Gavin; to my two beautiful stepchildren, Courtney and Jason—I thank you all for your love, your support, and your belief in me. There is greatness within you, already manifest and still more to come. If I were, in my youth, a fraction of what each of you are, I might have cured cancer or invented something extraordinary by now. I am grateful for your presence in my life, and what I learn from you is immeasurable. Your example makes me want to be a better man.

    Foreword

Welcome to the realm of endless possibilities. Discovering this realm is like being three years old and seeing the ocean for the first time. It is exciting and a bit scary at the same time. The water seems endless on the horizon. Your entry into the water is filled with the new experiences of the feel of the salt water, the power of the waves, and the smell of the sea air. New sounds fill your ears, and you savor life in a new way. You will need all your senses, including your sense of adventure, and your ability to welcome new possibilities as you enter the world of David Morehouse and Remote Viewing.

Coordinate Remote Viewing starts with an ideogram, a quick expression of pen on paper that conveys the knowledge of the unconscious or other mind. This one short, intuited motion contains all the basic information of the target to be viewed. David, like an ideogram, contains all the basic information of how to live a purposeful, positive, creative, and loving life. When you have the privilege to know and study with David, you have begun to understand the man and his message. He presents all the necessary components to experience this reality of our modern life from a new, vastly expanded vantage point.

Nearly eight years ago, a close friend and mentor suggested that we take David’s course in Remote Viewing. When we signed up for the course, we didn’t have any idea of what to expect. We felt that we were having a bit of beginner’s luck with our first ideograms and found the early exercises intriguing. By the second day of a five-day course, we felt like we were spending hours practicing scales when we wanted to play the piano. David insisted that we learn the basics, the scales, and promised that this time spent would be worth the effort. He said that we would need these skills and tools to facilitate our own talents in Remote Viewing. He said that everyone could accomplish Remote Viewing, but as with playing music, some have more natural talent. We weren’t sure of how much talent we had; we just wanted to get to it. With each hour, we grew more restless, like horses at the starting gate ready to perform. Finally, late in the second day, we had a target and were off and running, or rather flying.

This first flight, or Viewing of a target, was for us a test of our newly learned skills. These skills and protocols were expertly taught by this former military officer, a teacher whose instruction left no doubt of his regimental background and his genuine caring that we each master our capacity to open to the endless possibilities that awaited us. Now it was up to us to allow it to happen. The first thought that races through the mind is I won’t be able to get it. Not me!—a familiar belief from past school experiences. David told us to leave all doubt behind, and just trust and follow the protocols. It would just happen.

As the assignment ended, we were filled with a lot of doubt as well as curiosity. After coming out of a light trance experience, the eureka burst occurred when, to our amazement, our descriptions and sketches projected on the screen were very similar to the majority of other beginning students, and very similar to the target picture that had been in a sealed envelope. Our descriptions and especially our sketches of the visited target were too similar to write off as just chance. We no longer had doubt that we were not only on target, but also at the target, experiencing the target. It was in this experience of sharing our collected data that we came to accept and trust the vastness of what is.

This was just the beginning. As the course progressed, we had a growing appreciation of patiently learning the basic skills and just allowing the experience to unfold. Like a kaleidoscope being slowly turned, one’s long-standing perspective is shattered as the mind adjusts to a novel, yet undefined, pattern that will forever be morphing with each Viewing journey. We instantly realized that we could and we did escape the shackles of what we were programmed to believe is our reality. An experience of excitement and awesome freeness seeps through the body, and this was just the beginning of what becomes more and more natural. We no longer perceive our lives, the planet, or the universe as separate, compartmentalized units, but as One—one living, breathing Being of which each of us is an aspect, a co-creator of our moment-to-moment reality, for which we are responsible and accountable.

At the end of the week, we were filled with many thoughts and emotions. The main lesson was realizing that the first person who ever misrepresents the truth to us is our self. It was all too evident that our minds can take what is real and filter it through our past experiences to misrepresent what is genuine. This was a fascinating discovery and is probably usual for most people. It highlights the realization that regardless of what we think is true, it is only a perspective based on individual experience. We know firsthand how the tower of a temple located in Asia that we have never seen can quickly morph into an ancient astronomical ruin that we did see in Central America. This has been a very valuable lesson, a lesson for life. It has allowed us to at least think beyond our own experiences and conditioning. Having learned Remote Viewing, we are more open to new concepts, varied points of view, and limitless possibilities. The universe is richer and more alive, with many new dimensions, experienced and yet to be experienced.

We continued to take courses with David. At each level, we learned more about the universe and the many talents we naturally possess. David was able to introduce us to many facets of our own abilities. The applications of Remote Viewing have increasingly unfolded in our lives. The benefits have been more than being able to travel to near and distant targets. Remote Viewing is a conduit to experience life more fully and to expand our intuitive awareness. It offers a more complete human experience, bringing the expansive capacity of our minds into focus. For us, Remote Viewing became more than an exercise of the mind; it ignited a personal journey inward and beyond that can take us across town or to another time and place. The main lesson is that there is a limitless capacity in how to experience all that is available to us. We can only live in the moment, but with David, we found that the moment can take us to previously uncharted targets, in and beyond space and time.

There are many times when we call upon the information learned and the experiences encountered in our forays into the Matrix. It is still necessary for us to go back and play the scales, to practice the basics. We now live each day with heightened awareness, appreciation, and connectedness to the universe, in awe of the limitless possibilities for beneficial change in our quality of life on planet Earth.

It is our privilege and honor to know David and to travel with him on many journeys, beginning in a Coordinate Remote Viewing class at Omega Institute in New York, to places such as the Horse Head Nebulae and the Andes of Peru. We are honored to know David and would travel with him anyplace, anytime. We have been blessed to come to this moment in the company of our friend, teacher, mentor, and fellow traveler, David Morehouse.

We invite you to read this book and begin to travel with us.

Introduction: Welcome to the Journey Inward

One must desire something to be alive.

    Margaret Deland, O Magazine

You need to know that something extraordinary is possible in your life. I need you to know that you are nothing but possibilities. In a world blatantly filled with screams of limitation, where others make every effort to define your reality and limit your promise, I need you to know through this work that you are omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal, a magnificent being existing in a finite condition. I need you to know that you can fill your life with love and compassion, with promise and possibility, and that you can live as an example to the world—and not as a warning. I need you to know that everything that is supposed to be for you—will be.

I learned, what seems a thousand years ago, that I have a blessed life and that what I need in this life also needs me. You and I are the same. If you seek all that is possible, then all that is possible will seek you. There are no unanswered prayers in the universe; however, I know that at times it may seem so. It may be clear to you now that what you want is not present in your life. You may be certain that your desires remain unfulfilled and that the glass of your life is half-empty, that your life is one of limited promise and possibility. Conversely, if you will learn to find the gift in any problem, you will deem your life one of infinite promise and possibility. You will feel secure that life is available, that excitement and passion await or are already present. The defining element is choice. Choice is a decision in the moment about your state—physical, emotional, and spiritual—how you will respond to your life situation. Choosing well implies you have a grasp of your needs and wants, how they differ, and how you will plan and live your life from a perspective of experience, learning, and mastery. If you realize that what you need in this life will always have priority over what you want, then you will begin now to manifest the life and destiny that is yours.

This book, my fourth, was the most difficult to write. I spent ten years gathering and objectifying my thoughts, fine-tuning my methods, and developing my materials, yet it has taken me two long years to assemble this material. Why? In large part, because I did not need to write it. I wanted to write it, and my needs overcame my desires.

I have lived a diverse and privileged life. I have trained well over twenty-three thousand students in the art and science of Remote Viewing. I have traveled the world teaching, lecturing, studying, and writing. I have lectured internationally—in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Peru, Canada, and the United States. I have lectured at the Mikhail Gorbachev State of the World Forum on issues concerning global peace and alternative methods of conflict resolution. I have presented at affiliate organizations of the United Nations on issues of global peace and the potential of spirit. I have lectured at the Alliance for a New Humanity, presenting concepts of and alternatives to human possibility in the entertainment industry. I am published in fourteen languages, endorsed by the most powerful peak-performance professionals and metaphysical and spiritual teachers in the world. I am ever grateful for my life.

When I served in the military, I was deemed by my superiors to be destined to wear stars. I commanded an airborne infantry battalion for a short while, and I have commanded two rifle companies. I am deeply honored to have served with these men and to call them friends—I trust them with my life. When I served in the military Remote Viewing unit, the program manager, GS-15 Fernand Gauvin, declared in my written evaluations that I was:

considered the best candidate ever to have grasped expertise in the [Remote Viewing] collection technology.... He has not only consistently exceeded the training standards, but has completed the training program 30 percent faster than any other candidate in the history of the program.... He has trained new [Remote Viewing] candidates with a sense of conviction and excellence that permeates his own personal and professional success.

My senior rater, Dr. Jack Verona, the chief scientist of the Defense Intelligence Agency, evaluated my performance in this way:

He stands far above his peers and contemporaries in the mastering of this intelligence collection technology.... A superb officer, who has a keen intellect and an unusual ability to isolate the central issues of complex problems and solve them. Totally dedicated to the unit mission, he has improved training and facilitated the learning process of all soldiers and civilians assigned to the unit.

I share this with you to set the stage for what is to come. I know this technology, and I will teach it to you. I know it in my sleep; I know it backwards, inside out, and outside in. I know the science, the theory, the practice, the application, and the philosophy surrounding it. Often, I feel I know more about it than I want to know; however, it is my nature to be a trainer, to teach, to synthesize and quantify the learning process. It is one of my callings in this existence, and I honor this calling, writing the story of my life moment to moment with this awareness. It is my service, my honor, and my need.

As Dr. Verona indicated, this is a highly complex intelligence collection discipline, and you must be willing to commit the time and devotion necessary to learn it. Learning it will not be easy; nevertheless, make no mistake: you have the ability, right now, within you. Learn this discipline as though you were going to teach it and not just do it. With each chapter, think how you would explain it to another person; read with this in mind. This book is about the protocols of possibility, and the journey inward is a need; the path to it is a want. You may find you do not want to answer the need to know with this tool, the art and science of Remote Viewing. However, because you must never stop believing in the power of you, you owe yourself a level of devotion so that you might experience all that this path has to offer. Life is about patterns learned and adopted, patterns that sustain identities and manifest behaviors. Each time you commit to the need to explore inward, do so completely and without reservation. When you come to the end of this experience, mine what is positive from it, and take the next step forward. Follow the path to the edge of knowledge, if there is one, and then decide what the next step will be.

The next step may be another path, or it may be a version of the present path, whereby you carry forward all you have learned here, augmenting your next journey. Learn all this path offers, and master all that you learn; only then can you truly say, This is not for me. Move from the place of not knowing what you know, to unconscious competence, mastery of tools, and self-work. Master what you learn here, taking it all the way to integration in your life—and then decide the next step.

I said that you need this journey, and you do. The desire to know if there is something beyond the physical in this existence is the most significant drive in all the human condition. The desire to know God, to believe in something, whatever the name or position, surpasses all other drives within us. Why else would young men and women give up their lives for what they believe exists beyond the physical? It surpasses even the drive to procreate, hence a marriage to God and celibacy within the ranks of humanity by those who choose that path. You need to know what exists on the other side of the veil; how you will make this discovery is a want. Many things—money, science, availability, you name it—may drive this want. Therefore, I will ask you to remember your need. Remember this need when you begin to feel lost, bogged down in the details of this structure.

Remember your need to know the unknown when you start believing you might want an easier way. Commit to being a hunter of excellence in yourself. I promise you I will lead and guide you through the process. You must master it and thereby transform; know that you cannot transform that which you have not experienced—and that is precisely the purpose of this journey.

The Roman historian and politician Gaius Sallustius Crispus (Sallust), circa 41BCE, proclaimed, Every man is the architect of his own fortune. Since I began teaching Remote Viewing in 1998, my dream, my want, has been for this book to manifest. Finally, here it is, and I am very excited for you and the journey you are about to begin. I assure you that this program of instruction will empower you with a new understanding and awareness of personal ability and tools you have always had available. Moreover, it will be through the understanding and application of these tools that you will design a new beginning for yourself, transforming, morphing, never looking back to what was, only existing in the moment with the knowledge that you are more than the physical world allows, and with this knowledge, you will manifest your destiny.

I say that these tools are already yours because you have always had the ability to see distantly in space-time. You may know this, or you may only suspect it. You may have supposed it all your life, or you may have recently experienced something that now calls you to explore this notion further. Regardless of your motivation, you are about to embark on one of the most fascinating and awakening journeys of your life—and I am honored to hold the teacher’s chair for this experience.

I will say to you now the words that were spoken to me in 1987 when, as a young special operations soldier and a former U.S. Army Ranger company commander, I sat anxiously in a chair facing the program manager of a then top-secret military intelligence collection program code named Sun Streak. I listened to the outline of instruction that would give me the ability to transcend space and time to see persons, places, and things remote in space and time, and to gather and report intelligence information on the same. I remember that, as I listened, I heard the words Your life will never be the same. I promise you now that if you will give this course of instruction all that you have in the way of desire, if you will commit to the field of knowledge contained herein, your life will never be the same again, in the most positive and beautiful manner. You will open a door that will change the way you see yourself, others, and this existence.

In this book, as you read for these few moments, swelling into days and weeks as you study at your own pace, you will explore human promise and possibility. It will be with this promise and possibility that you will live a life of courage and dignity, always aware of your eternal nature and of the great wisdom you are and have access to. Writer Fernando Pessoa once wrote:

This dawn is the first dawn of the world. Never did this pink color, yellowing to a warm white, tinge towards the West the face of the children of the world, whose brilliant eyes gaze upon the silence brought by the glowing light. There was never this hour, nor this light, nor this person that is me, nor this gathering who are this people of spirit and peace. What will be tomorrow, will be something else—and what we see will be seen by transformed eyes—eyes full of a new vision of the world—a vision of love, of compassion, of promise and possibility.

What will be tomorrow will be something new—and what you will see in this life, in this world, will be seen through reconstructed eyes, through the nonphysical eyes of the Remote Viewer. Your eyes will be full of a new vision of the world—a vision of love, of joy, of compassion, of promise and possibility. Your silent stroll into the Matrix Field will soon be a continual conversation, and you will recognize that all of us—beings, buildings, stones, trees, sea, and sky—are a huge family elbowing each other with words in the great procession of destiny.

To feel everything as a Remote Viewer in fine, full detail makes you different; the sensations of your soul, known perhaps all too well by you alone, are still too embryonic for the world to grasp. As a Remote Viewer, you will experience life with behavior congruent with feeling things deeply, passions and emotions that are often lost among more visible kinds of achievement—you will begin meeting your needs at the highest of levels.

Understand that your needs and wants may indeed polarize from time to time. However, in the spectral analysis of your purpose in this life, if you recognize that your wants are in conflict with your needs, but your wants are the needs of those you serve, then they are your needs as well. Further, if you ignore the needs of others when it is your calling to serve, your life will stagnate; you will not be contributing on the level you need to contribute in order to feel alive and with purpose. And if you are not contributing, you are not growing, and any organism in this finite existence that is not growing is dying.

You are my hero, you are my dream, and you are the great clarity the world now needs. So much of the world is no longer able to give meaning to what it sees, though it sees clearly what is there. The world needs you to give it clarity—Remote Viewing will bring you clarity, and in so doing, you will transform self, and transformation of self will evolve into a transformation of the collective whole.

Your first task in this program will be to work to look inward, to find within yourself a place to begin. From this place, you will begin to work methodically to develop a language of purpose, of possibility and direction for yourself. Do not be afraid of the task! It will be difficult, and it will ultimately be imperfect. Personally, I will not weep over the imperfect pages in my life; I will only tell you where I feel I can do better. You will read this many times in the chapters and pages to follow: perfection is the lowest standard anyone can have, because it is never achieved. Even if you believe you have achieved it, your perspective is relative, and therefore imperfect in the assessment of another. Perfection never materializes; it is not your quest—only knowledge is your manna, and wisdom is your quest. At this level of experience, knowledge begins with self-assessment.

Enjoy the journey inward and beyond.

    What Is Remote Viewing?

We still do not know one-thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us.

    Albert Einstein

    DEFINITIONS

The original Department of Defense definition of Remote Viewing (RV) was the learned ability to transcend space and time, to view persons, places, or things remote in space-time; to gather and report information on the same. It was a technique used to spy on the real or perceived enemies of our nation using a human ability to perceive and record information about a target that is far away from the person doing the Viewing.

Today, Remote Viewing is described in as many different ways as there are individuals teaching, talking, or writing about it. The above is an acceptable definition, but it is not an accurate definition of the actual mechanism of Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRV). To better illustrate this, I developed a more complete description several years ago. This version follows a scientific pattern of language used to describe the human interaction and interface taking place within the protocols of Remote Viewing. I teach that Remote Viewing is the learned ability to use two inherent kinesthetic human activities to detect and decode eight-dimensional waveform expressions of target data into four-dimensional thought form (height, width, depth, time), and to further objectify this data into two-dimensional media. I know that sounds like a mouthful, so let’s break it down and understand it clearly.

I define Coordinate Remote Viewing as the learned ability to use two inherent kinesthetic human activities to detect and decode eight-dimensional waveform data. Detecting and decoding are the processes whereby Viewers in a relaxed alpha brain-wave state (an altered state) close their eyes and begin detecting (perceiving) data via one or more of the principal or nonprincipal modalities of perception, such as digital, tactile, visual, or auditory modalities, or possibly gustatory and olfactory modalities, of perception.

This waveform data is decoded by the conscious mind into coherent four-dimensional thought form. Using these modalities of perception, the Viewer’s conscious mind, even the biological brain, develops coherent thought form around what is being perceived. Some Viewers hear words, while others see visual data; regardless of the modality of perception, the brain shapes the data into images, sounds, smells, tastes, and so on.

This coherent four-dimensional thought form is objectified into two-dimensional media via simple contours and texture sketches (visual data), and by writing the descriptors for sound, smell, taste, temperature, texture, and energetic and dimensional data (verbal data). So long as this data is held in the mind, it is considered conceptual illusion. In other words, it is not usable or real until it is objectified, meaning written down. In the mind, it can continue to morph, flex, grow, and shrink. This is what conceptual illusion does. Just try to think back to something traumatic in your life. The more you dwell on it, the more it shifts and redefines itself with each passing moment. It cannot and does not remain stagnant or fixed, hence the term conceptual illusion. It is a waveform expression of some event in past time, and it is not real; it is only an illusion. Therefore, you, the Viewer, are required to use your inherent tools of language and visual reconstruction (sketching) to objectify on paper what it is that you perceive.

In the world of quantum physics, everything is energy and energy is everything; therefore, on some level, everything can be expressed in waveform. It is this waveform data through which the Remote Viewer becomes aware of, or perceives, information during the Remote Viewing session, the period during which data relevant to a distant target is acquired. It is this waveform expression of the target and all its components that the Viewer perceives and then records in the form of visual data (contour sketches and detailed renderings) and verbal data (using language to express color, texture, temperature, taste, sound, smell, energetic data, dimensional data, aesthetic data, emotional data, tangible data, intangible data, and other elements of information depending on the length and intention of the Viewing session).

In the protocols of Remote Viewing, detecting and decoding waveform data is the fundamental methodology. This may sound like something very odd, yet you are doing it constantly. You are, in fact, doing it right now. Virtually every instant of your waking life is filled with almost unconscious metronomic activity of detecting eight-dimensional waveform data and decoding it into coherent four-dimensional thought form. The four dimensions to which I am referring are defined by the three spatial dimensions of height, width, and depth, and the fourth dimension, a temporal one, of time.

Let’s look at a relatively simple example. You are reading this description, either from a printed page or from a computer monitor. Light waves are moving from the monitor or the printed page to your eye. These instruments called eyes perform a critical function of detecting the light waves and transforming this waveform data into electrochemical responses that are sent to the brain. The brain detects these signals and decodes them into coherent four-dimensional thought form. Put another way, your brain recognizes the various patterns of ink on the page that constitute the letters in the written words of the language you comprehend. The decoding process in this example works through your ability to understand the language. Your appreciation of the words in the decoding process is then linked to your experience Rolodex, which includes all that you have previously read about, witnessed, experienced, and so on.

If an artist looks across a landscape, a similar process to your reading of this page takes place. The difference is that the artist is engaged in the art and science of detecting the light waves and decoding them into coherent thought form. The completion of the decoding process involves objectification in a two-dimensional medium, such as placing paint on a two-dimensional canvas or dragging a pencil across a two-dimensional piece of paper. If the artist were to close his eyes, would the imagery stop? The answer is no. At
