This book does what it's intended to do rather well. I liked the rhyming poetry and the simplicty of the text.

This book takes brings the basic definition of a verb to life. Through a sing song rhyming verse it provides many examples of verbs, including to be verbs. Throughout the text the verbs are highlighted to focus the reader's attention on the verbs. There is definite flow to the book and is an great read aloud for modeling fluency. This book is part of series on parts of speech. It could be used as part of any unit on parts of speech. It is a short read but clearly gets provides a definition student's will remember. It is fun and engaging.
