About this ebook

Cassie Hunt is a waitress down on her luck. When a customer offers her a large tip to just talk to him, she pegs him for a rich guy who was just a jerk. When he offers her a large sum of money to pretend to be his girlfriend, she negotiates a better deal, then takes him up on his offer. With a posh place to live and a hot guy to look at, how bad could it be? Trent Buchanan is a billionaire who can’t get a date that his mother would approve of. If he doesn’t bring a respectable girl to her next fundraiser, she is going to start setting him up with her friends’ daughters. He finds Cassie waitressing in a nightclub and knows she’s the one that will get his mother off of his back. And he might actually have fun with her.

    Chapter One

Trent Buchanan swirled the rocks in his scotch and wondered why he thought he’d find a respectable date in a club like this. Not that this wasn’t the hottest club in Manhattan. If he’d wanted the type that was hot, knew it, but pretended not to know it, he could have a dozen of options. Those wouldn’t satisfy his mother.

She’d demanded that he bring a date to the fundraiser tomorrow night. She’d made it clear that she wanted marriage material. He had to bring Miss Right, not Miss Right Now. He sighed. He could flash a smile in any direction and have Miss Right Now purring on his lap.

Then he saw her. Across the room. What a cliché. As if a spotlight shone on her. Well it did. She’d walked through one as she traversed across the dance floor, avoiding the writhing bodies with her tray in her hand. That meant she was waitress. Not his usual type.

She was also a large, curvy girl. Trent didn’t discriminate. He liked all women. He’d taken all shapes and sizes to bed. This girl had a determination in her step that piqued his interest. And red hair. He liked gingers. They had spunk. This girl strut across the place, in her silly and too-short-for-anyone cocktail waitress uniform, as if she owned the place. She rocked the outfit. No doubt about it. She worked those curves.

He finished his drink before she made it to his side of the bar. He signaled to her he wanted another one. He didn’t but he needed to talk to her. He had to see fit here and had a brain and personality behind that body that didn’t quit. Was she a potential Miss Right?

What are you having? she said.

    Her nametag read, Cassie.

    Scotch. The best you have.

She didn’t roll her eyes, but Trent got the impression from her body language that she wanted to. Coming right up.

She left him and he watched her ass as she walked away. He’d like to bite that, but he also thought his mother would believe she was his girlfriend. That she was marriage material. When she returned, he tried to engage her in conversation. She was not having it.

I’ve got to make some tips tonight so I can’t talk to just you, Cassie said.

He pulled out a fifty-dollar bill, putting it on the table. "Give me
