    Why I Wrote This Book

    I wrote this book so that I could share the success I’ve experienced with others.

    You see, I wrote this book based upon my own personal experiences, so I know firsthand that the tips, methods, and techniques work.

    Another reason I wrote this book is because I felt very confident that you could benefit from my experience. The main reason I feel this way is because I know that I’m not the most disciplined person in the world. This means that in order for me to successfully lose weight I needed a set of simple, easy-to-follow techniques.

    The reason I needed a simple, easy-to-follow techniques was so that I could make progress in my weight loss, rather than be discouraged because the methods were too difficult for me. For this reason, I feel confident that the same techniques can work very well for you.

    I have included a wide variety of techniques for a wide variety of individuals. This will give you tremendous flexibility as you can select a set of weight loss techniques that are tailor-made for you.

    My objective in writing this book is to help you to lose the weight that you want to lose. I’m thrilled to be able to share what I’ve learned with you and want you to have the lasting gift of vibrant health and fitness.

    Introduction

    Whether you are just starting your weight loss journey or if you’ve tried and have not received the results you desired, you are in the right place at the right time.

    If we stop and think about it, it is easy to gain weight, isn’t it? Basically, all we do is what we have been doing and the weight seems to add itself on year after year after year. Are we addicted to food? What exactly is the problem?  The answers to those questions are both simple as well as challenging.

    It’s not so much that we are addicted to food. After all, we need to eat in order to live. We gain weight because we become addicted to food in one of two ways:

    1 – We eat the wrong foods and drink the wrong drinks

    2 – We eat too much of the right foods and drink too much of the right drinks

    We all know that reason number 1 sounds completely logical. After all, if we eat French fries, ice cream, pizza and drink sugar-laden soft drinks all day we’re pretty much guaranteed to gain weight.

    Something that is a lot tougher for all of us to wrap our heads around though, is that selecting healthy foods will not guarantee weight loss. You see, overeating is overeating; the only difference between overeating unhealthy food and overeating healthy food is that overeating healthy food is the lesser of those two evils.

    If you really stop and think about it, losing weight isn’t exactly rocket science, but it can certainly seem very challenging to us sometimes. In order to lose weight we must do one simple thing and that simple thing is to create a calorie deficit. What is a calorie deficit you ask? A calorie deficit is created whenever we burn more calories than we consume. When we burn more calories that we consume, we will lose weight.

    In order for us to effectively lose weight we need to develop a healthy weight loss mindset and healthy weight loss habits. The purpose of
