The Land with Many Faces

––––––––

Settled on the northernmost spot in Africa, Tunisia has always been a welcoming land throughout the entire history of the world. Because of this, it has absorbed a lot of heritage from many different cultures.

If we had to say just one sentence about Tunisia at the moment, we would mention that this country, although beautiful and inhabited by great and pleasant people, is not safe for tourists at the present time.

The fact that there is chaos on the streets of some cities is a deal breaker for most tourists; many bookings are cancelled which naturally affects tourism. Tunisians are still recovering from the Arab spring and trying to stem the influence of extremists who use terror to force their views on the peaceful nation.

Once the chaos is over and peace has returned to Tunisia, as a guest you will be able to enjoy meeting great people with many interesting stories to share, sunbathe on nice, sunny beaches that are well equipped for beach tourism and are very popular, to visit museums and to sightsee archaeological discoveries.

The most sophisticated and history savvy visitors will certainly enjoy sightseeing as they will get to see some of the oldest archaeological spots found there over a century ago, presenting important Carthaginian remains, Roman buildings and Ottoman spas.

Another thing this country is well known for is its dainty food and great restaurants where you can taste hundreds of different international delicacies including the traditional cuisine which is mostly focused on fresh seafood

Let us all hope that Tunisia will soon get back to the peaceful times of past!
