The illustrations in this book were the main reason I give this book more than one star. The pictures are detailed and vivid and make me feel like I know the animals in the Easter Parade. However, the story leaves something to be desired. It is a very quick story about a father telling his daughter that he is going to be so proud of her in the Easter Parade. This seems good but so little is done with the text that I just ended up feeling like I could have used the beautiful book and made up a better story to go along with the pictures (which is what I ended up doing).
