HEALTHY BREAKFAST SMOOTHIES
These smoothies are not just a fast and simple breakfast drink on the go, but they are also packed with the vitamins and the minerals the family will need to start the day.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie (makes 1 smoothie)
This great tasting breakfast on the go is packed with fiber and is high in vitamins B and C and potassium, all the nutrients you’ll need for the day. My boys love the sweet and creamy taste of PB&J.
Ingredients:
2 cups of fresh strawberries
1 banana, peeled, chopped, and frozen
2 tsp. peanut butter or almond butter
4 oz. fat-free milk or plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup of ice cubes
Directions:
Put all of the ingredients in your blender. Mix and blend well until smooth. Enjoy!
Banana-Split Smoothie (makes 1 serving)
This banana-split inspired smoothie is packed with protein that will certainly keep you filled until lunch.
Ingredients:
1 banana, peeled, chopped, and frozen
1/2 cup of silken tofu
1/2 cup of soymilk
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp. honey
Direction:
Blend the tofu, cocoa, soymilk, and honey until smooth. Keep the blender motor
