    Short and sweet, this book had some excellent eating tips, especially for incorporating healthy grains and seaweeds that sound edible. The author also offers a way to lose weight without exercise, which I don't endorse, but I know many people who hate to exercise, so it is probably good to have that option. This book was practical and no nonsense. If you want to avoid fad diets, this one makes sense. My only concern was her suggestion to eat 500 calories below your BMR if you choose not to exercise. Since my current BMR is under 1,300 calories, that would be dangerous for me. The author should probably include a caveat for those of us who just want to lose a few pounds. With that said, I will definitely try the Kelp noodles, millet, and farro recipes she suggested. A copy of this book was received in exchange for an honest review.

    Lose Pounds the Easy Way: A Complete Diet and Weight Loss Guide: A Practical Guide on How to Lose Pounds by Mary Williams If you are looking for the basics and a quick guide to some great weight loss acts this book is for you. It is not a step by step program with menus and such, just the low down on what you need to do to lose weight. I found the book quite informative and I will remember lots of these tips to go along with my more extensive plan (when I start it LOL)!

    I didn't really learn anything new about weight loss from reading this book. It went through the very basics of weight loss. The best part was the section where it gave lighter versions of comfort foods.

    Received this ebook from the Members Giveaway. I wanted to like this book but unfortunately was disappointed. Most of the information is a repeat of what you can find in other diet books. The good thing about the book is that it presents the information in a quick and easy to read format. But unfortunately it is the same type of information you will find in other diet books that tout eating whole foods, cutting out sugar, salt and fat, etc.

    This is a good short introduction to how to go about losing weight. It describes all the most recent fad diets as well as explaining what we should be cutting out and including in our diet. There isn't a wealth of new information in this booklet but it is good as a refresher or motivational resource for anyone contemplating getting back into the healthy eating swing of things.

    If you think you've heard it all before about weight loss, wait a minute. We learn something new every day. Personal experience: like a lot of people, I'm trying to shed weight. I went to the doctor the other day and found out that I'd gained a pound. I freaked out. I'd been trying so hard. Turns out the scale is often your worst enemy. The real test for a woman as to whether you've lost weight or not is how your clothes fit, and how you feel. There are a lot of other good tips in this book, which is why I rated it five stars.

    I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.This was a very short and quick read. Although the pages are few there is a lot of information. Would recommend this for people who don't want to follow fad diets.
